Radio Shack no longer carries all the parts. I offer our Professional Auto-Zap

zapper as the only unit guaranteed to help you, or all your money back. See

details at www.BestZapper.com/zapper.htm It is also the only fail-safe unit I

know of, meaning that it always shows you that the output is correct and

functioning to assure you of good results.

Is Dr. 's Zapper Model as presented in her book still

current?

Good morning everyone! I just discovered in the files Dr. 's

book and am amazed with it. I can't wait to try the zapper but need

to get one first. There is a model in the book where I can go to

Radio Shack to purchase the parts... does anyone know if there has

been any new design improvement to it that is still affordable? I

have seen some on Ebay that are really expensive and some that use a

computer. I am completely electronic illiterate... but am willing to

learn up to where my brain allows me now.

Your help is greatly appreciated. God bless you always and everyone

you hold dear.

This is one of those posts where good information is mixed with

selling. Does anyone know where these parts can be obtained if not

from Radio Shack? I am sure some electronic stores would carry them.

Why not type in the part name and Google it? Or provide the name to

this list?

Leo,

You points are well made. We really need to support each other to

help Dr. further her work. I cannot speak for zapper parts,

but I can provide an updated list of Radio Shack part numbers for

the syncrometer. I am energizer-bunny busy these days, but if

anyone wants the list, let me know and I'll try to find time to type

it in.

I was looking at the Digi-Key website a few days ago. I don't know

what their minimum order is these days. I am looking for parts to

build new zappers. My first was built on a small circuit board and

housed in a small plastic project box from Radio Shack (about 3 " x4 " x6 "

approximately). I need to check Mouser also. Thanks for that

suggestion. If someone could post parts lists and numbers from these

suppliers that would be great.

Personally, I would use metal film resistors. More expensive but only

a little. The values are generally more accurate.

I think I would recommend soldering the parts together, but a

" breadboard " would work if you are careful. The plans for the

Zappicator in the latest book show the circuit built with a " breadboard. "

The heart of the zapper is the 555 timer chip. I would like to find a

MIL-spec version of this chip. Anybody know if one is available?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the essense of the zapper is that

the 555 chip works as a switch, to turn the voltage on and off very

rapidly (30,000 times per second). The higher the frequency response

of the switch, the better? This would be my assumption, although in

practice it might not make a big difference. In theory, you want an

output as close to an ideal square wave (with + voltage offset) as

possible. The faster the chip can respond, the more perfectly vertical

the up and down slopes of the square wave will be. Chips probably do

not perform the same in this regard. Any thoughts?

If we wanted to really go crazy on this line of thinking, the

perfection of the square wave might depend on the power supply as much

as the 555 chip itself. Which could lead to... I don't know. But a

battery is not an ideal power source any more than a 555 chip is an

ideal switch. Nevertheless, to get results we do not need ideal.

However, I wonder if things can be improved upon.

I have already taken the voltage on my zapper and stepped it up to 12

volts, and in my opinion the results are better, though the handholds

can get a little tingly and irritating. Plus, with 8 AA batteries in

the clip, I don't have to change batteries as often.

OMG... Now I am really worried about building a zapper... perhaps if someone

builds one and sells it at a reasonable price I would benefit... I am completely

lost when it comes to electronics... meanwhile with each passing day, my health

improvement chances delay...

Each day your chances for health improvement are delayed? Looks to me

like you are worried and concerned.

Why not take as much ambiguity as possible out of all this. Get a

zapper from someone whose personal expertise is verifiable, and has

sold zappers for years.

Your remaining ambiguity would be, whether or not you would benefit.

Eileen,

I think that what Leo is getting at is that if time is of the

essence with respect to your health, you shouldn't worry as much

about getting the best deal on a zapper as to invest in a reputable

zapper and get zapping. Good luck!

Although I don't know that there is such as thing as a " best "

zapper, you buy find a reputable one at

I bought a zapper from one of Dr. 's recommended sources and it was only

about $30 dollars. What's with the high priced ones? I read somewhere that

they are all basically the same with no major difference...

Yes, they do have major differences, but you need the technical

know-how to evaluate them. So go to an established, reputable supplier

where the more you pay, the more you get in bells and whistles. For

example, look up Amrein's site. Or try Arthur Doerksens Best

zapper site.

Just don't expect unbiased evaluations from someone who sells zappers,

in regard to the competitor's stuff.
