Guest guest
I built the zapper described in the videos from the site www.positiveoffset.com. Is this a zapper that produces a positive only pulses? I made the zapper exactly according to the video (I have taken electronics courses) is my zapper a positive offset type? Can some one please explain how a zapper can produce negative spikes?
Guest guest
To be absolutely sure, you must hook it up to an oscilloscope. Your local TV repair person should have one and can test it for you. It will show the wave as well as as polarity on a screen in a graph form. AC voltage goes from positive to negative polarity constantly and this is why AC is not used as we receive negative pulses half of the time. DC is always flowing one way and so polarity never changes. Ken -- Positive offset I built the zapper described in the videos from the site www.positiveoffset.com. Guest guest
The circuit as shown on the plug-in circuit board should work very well. The resistor that ensures the 1/4 volt offset is the 39K that goes across the middle channel of the board just above the white wire at the top right. Note that it connects directly to the red output lead. Blessings!
