Guest guest
How much do you give? I've been using Sea Buddies developed by Jeff Bradstreet. It seems to work well, but my son was getting a little sleepy in the afternoon. Maybe I'll give the L-Tyrosine a try. Thanks, Robyn Janice <jscott@...> wrote: I have been researching this area as well. My son exhibits an 'inattentive' ADD type of focus and I have been using L-Tyrosine for this with good results so far. Our original diagnosis was global dyspraxia and apraxia of speech. In resolving most of these issues, I discovered that he seemed to 'morph' into the ADD type of kid. When looking at focusing, I have discovered that there are a lot of Amino acids that while they are effective in treating the children who exhibit 'hyper' active tendencies, they are not always effective for the kids who are 'hypo-active'. For instance, I tried L-Theanine on myself before trying it on my son but it just made me feel rather 'sleepy', albeit, a 'focused' sleepy! Thus, I chose not to try it on my boy.... I have read that L-tyrosine in conjunction with a good exercise regime works on the 'hypo' kids and my son seems to be responding to it. We have only been using it for about a week so it is early days yet. Hope this gives you a direction if your child is the 'sluggish' type!
