Guest guest
There's frost on the ground this morning. I feel it in my bones, but don't really mind today because it's so beautiful. I would wish for snow for Christmas, but last year our holidays were ruined by an ice storm. Power went out at 6:00am Christmas Eve and wasn't restored until 3 PM on Dec.27. Consequently, we are REALLY looking forward to Christmas this year. Once again I have spent too much on my boys. I think my heart just overflows with gratefulness when I think of my boys. My arthritis was never a problem until I had my first son. You'd think I'd be angry, but I'm not. There is no price I wouldn't pay for the priveledge of raising my boys. Not everyone pays such a high price, but that doesn't matter. If PA was a part of the package, then so it is. I have never known such joyous moments as those spent with my boys. A few weeks ago I was awakened to soft kisses on my cheek. Then this little 4 year old voice asked me, " Mommy, what flavor are your kisses " ? I said, " I think they're Very Cherry. What flavor are yours " ? He said, " Every color of the rainbow, today they are purple " ! And, so now we play this game nearly every day. In honor of the holiday season, his kisses are " Candy Cane Kisses " every day until Christmas. And so, as my body aches this morning and my scalp itches like mad, I am too full with gratefulness for the joy my family brings me to care. I wish for all of you moments like this...where your heart is so full of gratefulness that for at least a moment, the rest doesn't matter. Merry Christmas! in Virginia
