Guest guest Posted July 25, 2001 Report Share Posted July 25, 2001 Hi . I was taking 50mg of Vioxx a day for about 4 months. My doctor said that I couldn't stay at that dose indefinitely but for awhile it would be okay. I found it only took the edge off so I searched around the archives here and found a different drug to try. I asked my rheumy if I could try Meclomen for awhile and see. He said it is much like advil,naproxen etc. but he was willing to let me try. I take 100mg 3x aday and it seems to help a little better than Vioxx.
