Guest guest Posted May 27, 1999 Report Share Posted May 27, 1999 Since the Arava started working for me, I've been pain free! It's such a strange feeling since everyday I expect to get up and hurt. I'm just enjoying every minute of it. HOWEVER, my left wrist has decided not to cooperate and is in a major flare -- I can't bend it without gasping for breath. I am wearing a brace on it right now to keep it straight and happy. I go to the doctor's next week to have it checked out. But if this is what I have to live with right now, I'm happy to oblige. If anyone else is on Arava and not seeing results yet, keep with it. It took over 2 months for it to work and when it works, you know immediately. Guest guest Posted May 30, 1999 Report Share Posted May 30, 1999 , My doc at Columbia told me he is now trying a 30 mg dose with selected patients who flare and really need it. The company is aware that there is never really one dose that works for everyone, and eventually there will probably be a range just like for other drugs. My sed rate was 31 - only ten points higher than the last read - this is only mild back, neck and shoulder pain - nothing beyond Tylenol.
