Guest guest
Just curious. We don't get Showtime. Watch this to GET it! Posted Aug 23, 2010 6:54pm By: LoriHope If you get Showtime - or even if you don't* - be sure to check out the new “dramedy†(drama/comedy), “The Big C.†It proves that you don't have to "get it" (cancer) to "get it" (understand what it's like to have cancer). I’ll write about the series in another post - want to interview the show's producer Darlene Hunt for the second edition of my book - but needed to get this out because I just watched the pilot of the show online and was blown away and buoyed by hope. Like the documentary about euthanasia, “Help Me Die…†I made years ago, “The Big C†takes a tremendously life-affirming look at a deadly subject that's terrifying and even petrifying to most. I LOVE the new show, even though I may not agree with some of its premises and messages it conveys. Have you seen “The Big C What do you like about it? What about the show, if anything, makes your teeth itch? Do you think it's in the least bit realistic to think that a woman such as could neglect to tell anyone about her disease? If she were a man, would you find it more believable? Always hope,Lori *If you don't get Showtime, you can watch the show online for free by going to www.sho.com and clicking on "The Big C"- or searching "The Big C" on iTunes.
