,

I know what you are talking about when it comes to lack of family support. As a military family we live in Texas and our families are in Florida and Vermont. On a regular basis I am the only person responsible for my children's care. I have an 8 yr old and 10 yr old Aspie. My husband stays busy with the military and does not take an active role in her care. Unfortunately, partly due to denial. We live on one income due to frequent moves so my working is my own choice. I have worked as much as 15-20 hours a week, only when the girls were in school. Presently I don't work and spend 20-25 hours/week volunteering at the school. You know what you are capable of and best wishes in your decision.

It is very interesting what you are saying, because I find myself in the same situation my son is 8 he is HFA but still has meltdowns and I have to help him with the school homework, and clean the house, take care of my son, cook take him to the appointments (OT, swimming, doctors, etc) and I want to work because I feel guilty that my husband holds 3 jobs to support everybody and I don't work, but to be honest I don't have the stamina, the energy to work, my days are long and tiring. I think we should take a poll and ask if the mothers of the asperger's children work outside the home or not. If other mother can please come forward and say if they work or not, that would be great, also I would realize that may be is physically impossible to do both things (take care of a special needs child and work outside), may be I am wrong and it is possible. I am exhausted most of the time, I don't have in laws or parents to support me, I don't

have sisters or brothers so it is just my husbands and myself going through all this in life.

Please let's answer this questions are you working outside? full time? is it possible?

Hi ,

I'm so sorry to hear about you and your family.  My sons and I also have Lyme

but we are on the west coast.  My 13 yr old has had the most psyc problems w/

it

and we have also considered going the IV route.  So, although I don't have

personal experience w/ this, I have spoken w/ one local college student who had

IV later in high school.  She said it worked miracles.  I've also heard very

good things from the adults I know who have done IV.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.  Good luck to you.

Lyme Treatment

Sent: Thu, November 25, 2010 6:17:38 AM

Subject: [ ] Introduction

Hi, I live in Dutchess County about 100 miles north of NYC, on a farm. All

of my kids have had Lyme, as have I, several times. So I feel like I'm

pretty educated about it! However, my middle son, who is now 11, seems to

have had it a long time w/o being diagnosed. It has been quite a saga with

his health, but I have a specific question for the group.

He's struggling in school, so we just got a neuropsych evaluation done,

which has shown that he has severe problems that the tester believes are

related to Lyme. We have a great Lyme doctor, and an appointment next week

to discuss. Because we thought my son was having a relapse, he's on doxy

and also zithromax right now. I think the next step is IV antibiotics.

I've done research online, and the only study I found showed that all the

kids with neuropsych problems responded to the IV antibiotics and improved,

but that after they were discontinued they all went back to their previous

brain function. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is it possible

to recover from the Lyme brain problems, or are his issues permanent? (Of

course I'll be asking my doctor these questions too!).

Thank you for any help you can give, I'm so happy to have found this group!

Dear ,

My daughter was very ill for about 11 years before getting the Lyme

Diagnosis. Her Spect Scan showed moderate hypoprofusion (is that right?

Not enough blood flow) and her CFS doctor was very concerned. She had

moderate to severe issues cognitively. After a year of several abx, she

tried IVs. She did twp months of rocephin, one of claforan (was

allergic) took a break, then did 2 months of IV zithro, and finally 18

months of IV Doxy. It was the last that had the most dramatic affect.

She still has some cognitive issues, but she is much better than before

the IV meds. The biggest improvement was in activity. Prior to IV she

could barely handle tutoring and an hour of school, and now she is full

time in college. She stuggles but is doing it.

The IV meds really changed her life for the better. We are hopeful that

continued treatments will one day give her even more of her life back.

Good Luck,

Z

Welcome Jackie,

You should find some helpful and useful information on this site.

From: Jackie Mulroy <jackiemulroy@...>Subject: ( ) Introduction Date: Friday, December 10, 2010, 10:09 PM

Hello all!

I don't know why I didn't look for a support group for Aspergers here on ages ago!!

My name is Jackie and I am a single mom to five wonderful kids - one of whom, my 10 year old son, who was diagnosed with Aspergers (finally!) back in January of this year.

I have been advocating for testing and a better understanding within the general population with educators and lay people alike for children with this disorder - many of whom are in my own family! <SIGH>

I am thoroughly aware of the daily struggles, challenges, and interventions I need with my son on a daily basis and really look forward to sharing trials, tribulations, and whatever tips and tricks that help each of you and your families get through every day of the week!

Thanks!

Jackie

Edna,

Thanks for the advice...we did apply for SSI when we were trying to get Medical

Assistance for him, but our income was too much. We did get Medical Assistance,

and that is a huge help. As far as any local programs...there are none in our

area. I am going to try and call local colleges to see if they have any

students taking Special Education or Psychology who may want some experience

with an AS child over the summer. We cannot leave him alone for that long every

day because of his anxiety. He is literally scared of his own shadow and

doesn't like to be alone. Thanks again.

with asperger's. It is a relief finally knowing what was different that we just

couldn't understand. I personally am going through a tough time right now, I am

very overwhelmed with everything that is going on for me right now. We moved to

a different state about three weeks ago. My daughter was diagnosed right before

we left the other state. I have been a stay at home, homeschooling mom for the

past 6 years and my husband is wanting me to go back to work. I don't know how I

am supposed to school my daughter, take her to all of her appointments, deal

with her meltdowns and still have the time or energy to work. I am just

physically, mentally, and emotionally tired and I want a break from it all which

of course makes me feel guilty. I'm sorry I rambled on I just needed somebody

that would " get " the situation to vent to. If anybody has any advice I would

love to hear it. Thanks.

Your an amazing man Snoddy, and what you been doing is good.  Welcome to

the forum.  Im 59 and I have advanced prostate cancer I also have prostrate bone

metastasis in my ribs and my lower back.  I use to have a heart condition but it

find now. But because of this, my doctors told me in 2008 they

were out of options on how to treat me. I thank god I had a bad heart back then

because it did stop my  doctors from treating me. and enabled  my naturopath to

treat me. She put  put me on the road recovery. and I never felt better. what

advisor to anyone who needs help.

Glad that someone like you has the guts to do all the great things to help

himself.

God bless.

My name is Snoddy. This is my first post on this group.

As a way of introduction I'll tell you a little bit about myself. I am

a 61 year old retired electrical engineer, living in Bell buckle, Tn.

50 miles SW of Nashville. I spent 20 years of my career working in the

deep ocean drilling industry and 15 years in a chemical plant doing

automation engineering.

Twenty two months ago I was diagnosed with early stage esophageal

cancer. After two weeks of prayer and contemplation I got the

inspiration through prayer, " physician heal thyself " . I started doing

internet research and making phone calls. A leading surgeon at the

Cleveland Clinic had told me that my only option for survival was to

have my entire esophagus removed and relocate my stomach into my chest

cavity. A gruesome and unacceptable option for me.

In a short period of time I learned that cancer cannot live in the

presence of oxygen so I purchased an oxygen compressor and ozone

converter. I drank gallons of homemade ozonated water for months, sold

my house in Ky and moved to middle Tn. where there were natural

healers. I bought a portable steam tent and saturated my body with

ozone inside the tent.

Next I learned that toxicity is a major contributor to disease and

that colonic cleansing was the fastest way to detox my body. I

purchased a home colonic unit for my bathroom and proceeded to do a

daily 15 gallon, 45 minute colon cleanse. I eventually I started

bubbling ozone into my colonic tank on the wall and to date I have

completed 289 colonic irrigations.

I had known for years that grocery store food had little nutritional

value so I started taking 1800 mgs/day of Dr. Wallach plant

derived minerals because I was detoxing so fast and depleting my body

of minerals. Of course I took plenty of pro-biotics as well.

Later I added digestive enzymes to my regimen and a few other

supplement as well.

Twelve months after my diagnoses I went to vanderbilt hospital in

Nashville for follow up testing. Pet scans revealed no further spread

of cancer in my body and the endoscopy indicated that the peanut size

tumor in my esophagus had not grown at all. Doctors there told me that

they did not understand why the cancer had not metastasized. I told

them that cancer could not live in an oxygen rich environment and they

had no further comment.

Next I purchased a special water filter that raises the ph of my

drinking water to 9.3 and started alkalizing my body by drinking lots

of high PH water.

Next I found out about Rife frequencies and purchased Rife equipment

and started treating myself for adenocarcinoma but don't have much

experience with this protocol yet.

Next I discovered that Earthing or grounding ones body from the

multitude of magnetic radiation we all live in has many health

benefits. I do barefoot walking in my yard and sleep with a grounding

wire attached to my ankle.

When I am driving around I often take my inductive amplifier/tester

with me and I am amazed how much magnetic radiation is coming from

ordinary home power lines, not to mention the high voltage power lines.

My quest for health finally led me to the soil, the mother of our

bodies. I found out that our soils are seriously mineral depleted and

poisoned from the pesticides so I joined up with the soilandhealth

group and began studying how to remineralize the soil and grow

organic food in balanced soil. I grew giant tomato plants over 10 feet

tall last summer in my back yard. Next summer I plan to grow about

1000 sq feet of garden in organically remineralized soil.

With the way the economy is going here in the states and the whole

world for that matter I can probably grow nearly all the food I need

and it won't have to buy expensive supplements any longer because my

plants will have the 84 minerals that my body needs in the plants I

grow.

Finally I did a 30 day parasite cleanse under a doctors supervision

who used a darkfield microscope. I eventually bought my own darkfield

microscope from a company in India for only $800.00 dollars.

Lastly I did a very effective liver cleanse that produced several

ounces of congealed green bile that was in my liver ducts and gall

bladder.

The most recent thing I am doing is making my own liposomal vit-c. I

am going to work my way up to megadoses of vitamin C. I have the

proceedure for making your own liposomal Vit-c if anyone wants it. All

you need is powdered Vit-c, soy Lecithin, and an ultrasonic cleaner.

I am glad someone told me about this group. If any of you

have doubts that cancer is curable, just ask me. I can't say I am

cancer free because I haven't been back for a 3rd test and probably

will never go back.

The proof is is in the pudding however and I am still alive after 23

months after doctors told me I would only live a few months. If hope I

can learn even more on this site and if I can help anyone on here,

just ask me.

That IS after all how we learn!

Hope to hear from some of you soon.

Congratulations, that is the most amazing story!!! There are many people curing

their own cancer. Luckily, you had the insight to be able to do the research

and find your cure.

Right now, I have the help of drs in New York who have me detoxing through

coffee enemas, liver cleanses, citrus flush and a debulking method I do for five

days, metabolic typing diet, supplements, and pancreatic enzymes. This is all

after going to Mexico to have low dose radiation and many ivs for a month to

stop the growth of tumors and lymph involvement considered stage iv rectal

cancer. I came back with no tumors which is a cure for traditional medicine,

but I knew it would come back if I did not do something preventative and found

Dr. through Suzanne Somers book Knockout.

Would love to know about your food growing. This has been my main focus as I

have been going from supermarket and store buying organic and grass-fed and free

range. I need to start my own garden and would love to know your secrets.

Please let me know what you are reading or what you are doing, I need all of

your secrets.

Whatever you need from me in the way of help I would do for you as well.

Let me know - but it sure seems like you have cured yourself or are well on your

way.

Congratulations again, such a great story of success, sounds like a book in the

works for you.

I knew a lady in Chattanooga that cancer all though her body and they said she

was terminal. She got her doctor to prescribe immunocal and her insurance got it

for her or told her how to get it.

At first her MD said he would prescribe 1 box a month to see how it did.

It worked so well for her he said lets increase to 2 boxes a month. She said how

about 5 ? He laughed and said ok. She is now about 2 yrs later doing pretty well

and is in remission.

The main 2 points here is Immunocal works for most people very well.

The second is in Tenn you can often get your insurance company ot

medicare/medicaide to pay for it.

It is in your Dr's PDR.

Thank you it was good to here from you.  and to learn about  what your

doing, it grate keep it up You know  I was once thought that there realy will

never be a cancer cure. As there cant be, our body produces a small amount of

cancer cells from the moment we are conceived to the moment we die. But these

few  cancer cells are killed off and  controld though our immune system. It is

a balance act!   On how many cancer cells are produce.  and how many cancer

high energy sugary foods. that help feed cancer,  these foods,  favors the

balance the cancer way. What Im trying to say is when we get cancer is usually

through a combination of a weakened immune system, and a poor diet. all the best

Hi,

I am new to the group and thought I'd introduce myself. I am Astrid, aged 24 and I live in the Netherlands. I have ASD or Asperger's depending on which profession you ask. I am also blind and have several mental health problems. I hope to be able to provide support to parents whose children are going through the same I've gone through. I also might ask for support sometimes. Sorry if I'm not welcome to this list. I couldn't find an active list for adults with Asperger's or autism.

Yes that is very true that we get cancer from a weak immune system,

poor diet , EMF. Many great doctors & healers strongly believe that the

I read a book called " the cell factor " by dr Ross walker

he said the number one cause of cancer is stress, diet and toxens. Ray

I am also blind and have several mental health problems. I hope to be able to provide support to parents whose children are going through the same I've gone through. I also might ask for support sometimes. Sorry if I'm not welcome to this list. I couldn't find an active list for adults with Asperger's or autism.

Astrid I don't see any issue with you being here in the group. Welcome, and I would love to hear some of your insights on things that we are struggling with :)

Welcome to the group Astrid! Hope you like it here. Please feel free to chime in with any insight you can give us from your perspective as an adult with Aspergers. One of the best workshops I went to was where we got to hear from an adult who has Aspergers and learn things from her perspective. It was more informative than any book I've ever read.ne
