Guest guest
The KT gave me some Gas to a the beging and really bad when I but some ginger in it but ohhh did it get bad for me and no one could stand next to me and I only had about 4 oz 3 times a day back then but I don't get gas anymore from the KT and I wont put ginger in my kt anymore. Hanni -- SIDE EFFECTS?? Okay group... I have a question for everyone. My mom just decanted her first KT on saturday and has been drinking it since. I don't know how much, but she's not used to the fermented taste yet, so I would think 8 oz or less a day. She wanted me to ask the group - has anyone experienced gas with the KT? Stomach pain, bubbles... and the other unpleasant things that go along with it. If others have experienced this, she wants to know if it goes away. I told her that I know it is supposed to change your digestion for the better. Could it have something to do with the fact that her body is just not used to it? Guest guest
Hi and Everyone, As much as people want to treat KT like just another healthy liquid to drink it is alternative medicine for me. When brewed to be strong like I like it a very powerful remedy. If she is having gas and bloating she might want to reduce the amount she drinks and/or always drink it with food. The gas an bloating will pass but sometimes but it can be an irritating side effect of the purging that KT will do. Glad you can get other family members to try KT. So far I get all the KT I make for myself except I do put it in bread and use it as a marinade. Thanks for asking, ann --- Heinz <luv2scrap@...> wrote: > Okay group... I have a question for everyone. Guest guest
Hi , Yes, I had the same unpleasant side effect. It was very bad and quite embarrassing in public. I'm happy to report that after 1 and a half months it went away. I just stuck with it because I knew that detox symptoms go away with time. I'm used to detox symptoms from the raw vegan lifestyle, so this is no different. It's just a way for our bodies to " clean house " I suppose. He is taking enzymes and is sometimes eating gluten while he is allergic for gluten!! I am so glad!! His fat-digestion is better than before, but still not okay. I think that means I have to give him more enzymes. He takes 2 Candidase and 3 Virastop 3 times a day. (I increased this slowly during 5 weeks till this amount)Today is the second day he is taking this much, and again, like yesterday, he feels sick. Could this be a side effect of the enzymes? What should I do? Can anyone advise me? My son would have needed much more yeast control. I had to give 5 Candidase for every 1 Virastop. Guest guest
Nicoline, I got this from www.enzymestuff.com under the subheading on the left " what to expect starting " ... " -Researching into the matter of enzymes, it was learned that many of these adjustments are not serious at all and quite common when starting any type of digestive enzyme. Many of the adverse reactions are really the body cleaning out and healing itself. Some side-effects are also the same as those seen when starting a restrictive diet. Most side-effects result from the body adjusting to: processing more food and liquid gut healing, cleaning out inflammation and waste die-off from yeast, bacteria, or other pathogens in the gut withdrawal effects from 'addictive' food compounds body receiving more nutrition from food or supplements Hyperactivity, irritability, and withdrawal or allergy-like symptoms can actually be indications the enzymes are working and the body is adjusting. " Maybe this is whats going on with your son and his body is just adjusting. Also, depending on exactly what it is that is bothering him, she further discusses at the end of the page (http://www.enzymestuff.com/discussionadjustments.htm) each different symptom, ie. stomach ache, irregular bowels, etc. I hope this helps. Depending on exactly what it is that is bugging him that website gives direction from there. Hope he gets to feeling better soon!
