Hi,

I've been lurking for a while and have a question I will post following

this post.

I have " lyme complex " as does my husband. My daughter is producing

antibodies to lyme specific bands (Western Blot) and I have not yet

tested my son. There are several good elists for tick born diseases.

ONce for children/parents is Lyme Aids Parents and

BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism

/

I would love to hear what others have to share!

Therese, several in our family have been diagnosed with Lymes with energy testing.  The practitioner explained it to us very thoroughly and suggested we read the book, "Lab 257".  The book describes a WWII era biological weapons testing lab in Lyme, Mass., which was destroyed by a storm.  The author theorizes (and has evidence to back it up) that the organism which causes Lymes Disease was part of the biological weapons testing program and was then released into the environment as a result of this storm.  He further explains how the Lymes spirochete enters the body from one location, travels about the body feeding and reproducing, alternately hiding deep within tissue, causing damage as it goes. This practitioner used a series of potent herbal formulas in an increasing, then decreasing, on-off process to eliminate the Lymes from our daughter.  He also gave us another formula to help the kidneys keep clear.  Unfortunately, we had to stop going for awhile because we just ran out of funds.  But we are planning on going back this summer and starting again.  Our daughter, who claimed she felt fine (yet often complained of back aches, headaches, and general malaise) began to feel fantastic after about a month on the regime.  Now she is beginning to feel bad again, and I know it is time to get back and finish things! also explained that Lymes is transferred from mother to child via breast milk.  He suggested that it may be us who are giving the disease to the ticks.MaureenMy questions to all of you are: Are there any books or articles about that you recommend? Are there any natural treatments that any of you have used or heardwork very well?Thank you so much,Therese

I would look at www.lymedoctor.com. He has a book out that is easy

to read. The key with lyme is to treat early with antibiotics so it

does not become chronic. Natural therapies are best added after a

round of anticbiotics. It can cause serious problems for children if

not address quickly.

We are also dealing with Lyme and company, and I concur that

Singleton's book is the source to refer to: The Lyme Disease

Solution. Singleton has an integrated approach and very concise

information. Acute stage lyme all agree is best addressed with abx

for at least 6 weeks to 6 months. My daughter is producing antibodies

and we have to assume this is not acute lyme and previous exposure,

possibly breastmilk or in pregnancy. She is being watched by two

doctors who are well versed in lyme complex. I am to start samento

for bartonella after 4-5 months on mepron and biaxin for babesia. My

husband has started abx treatment for bartonella. Healing Lyme is a

very good book by Buhner (herbal approach).. but not

generally for acute lyme, although he has a protocol for that.

Samento and silver can be used for acute lyme, but most all agree

that abx are proven while alternatives are not. I have alternatives

on hand for tick bites if I cannot get to a doctor for a few days. Sal
