I would tend to agree with Kerry Ann, experientially - he didn't seem uncomfortable, his poops were fine, when they came (as I recall), and then when he got around to eating solids (not until around 1 year) he started pooping more regularly. He wasn't interested in solids until then. I was eating a WAPF diet at that point, perhaps not enough fermented goodies, but there didn't seem to be anything particularly wrong (though of course I worried about it too!
