Guest guest
Hi Chris Taking GlutenEase in replacement of a gfcf is not recommended by Enzymedica. GlutenEase was really made as a " safety net " to take with meals when you are unsure if the food at say a restaurant contains gluten. But it wasn't made to replace the diet. That can be very dangerous for some but others who have mild intolerances are able to do exactly that. So while we do not recommend it, it has been done by some with mild intolerances. Lacto is a product made for the who are lactose intolerant. Many parents seem to like starting off their children on this product because it is not a very strong product. They are able to see how their children react to the product. But if you are not lactose intolerant and have been taking the Digest fine, I would continue to use Digest instead of Lacto. You can take all of Enzymedica's products together. Depending on the product, some are taken on an empty stomach and some are taken with meals. Digest, Lacto, and GlutenEase all should be taken 5 minutes before a meal. Feel free to ask me any other questions. I hope I was of some help. Guest guest
If he were lactose intolerant he would symptoms like diarrhea, loose stools, pain or cramps, bloating, gas and nausea. I would stay on the Digest and add GlutenEase. Feel free to ask any other questions if you're still confused. Guest guest
>> Hi does anyone use enzymedica enzymes we use digest and like the product but want to use them in place of gfcf diet I herd glutaneze is a good one and there also one called lacto i think. How do I use these and can they be mixed together GlutenEase is probably the most effective all-around gluten-digesting enzyme product on the market currently. I know many people using it instead of a GFCF diet. Remember this is for using when you are gluten sensitive due to gut injury as is the case for most autism conditions and general leaky gut situations. Just as when people use Peptizyde or Peptidase complete. However, in the case of celiac, these gluten-enzymes are only to use in addition to the gluten-free diet. With celiac, GlutenEase is unique in that it is reported as very helpful in lessening the reactions for accidental gluten exposure. It has not caused the problems of worsening the reaction that other gluten-protease products have in the past. For the situation above, use either Lacto or Digest as your broad-spectrum product for digesting foods in general, plus GlutenEase for added power in breaking down gluten and casein for the nutrition. Lacto has less proteases in general than Digest, and more enzymes particular for the whole dairy food. But you will have lots of protease power in the added GlutenEase. Between Lacto and Digest, since you have already been using enzymes, it is rather a toss up. If you have much dairy sensitivity, I would suggest Lacto. However, you can try one bottle on one, then try one bottle of the other. Then go with whichever product works best for you in combination with GlutenEase. You can contact the company and ask for samples. www.enzymedica.com Most companies tend to give samples if you ask. Just say, " I have a child with autism or digestive problems. I am not sure what product will work best for me, and these were suggested: blah, blah, and blah. Would I be able to get samples to try? " You can say you were in this support group, or support group in general. I find most supplement companies will do this if you contact them directly. Sensitive kids are so particular about taste, smell, and texture, I would go broke and die of old age before I could 'try' everything out there. . Guest guest
I have been giving Digest Gold with meals that contain gluten and casein. I have also been using DGX, Theramedix brand. I ordered DGX thinking it was comparable to the Digest Gold. It it? I have been giving GlutenEase with snacks that have gluten and casein in them. Do I need to give GlutenEase in addition to the Digest Gold with meals that have gluten and casein in them or would the Digest Gold be enough? It is getting hard to tell when we are having infractions but it seems like we have had a few. How do you deciede if you need Digest or Digest Gold? I understand to give GlutenEase with the Digest but how about the Digest Gold? Sounds like maybe Digest with GlutenEase may be a better option? We have been using enzymes for three years. When we started food intolerance testing showed gluten, casein, egg, peanut and vanilla. Sometimes my daughther has belching after taking enzymes without enough food. Anyone else experience this?
