Guest guest
I wanted to clarify my earlier statement - I was not told that the product is similar to latex, only that there are some kids who are allergic to latex and also have a reaction to peptizyde (not scientific or proven, just a hunch) and that if my son is having a reaction, I could try the AFP product. I called Houston and they are sending me a sample of the AFP so I can try it and see if it's a better fit for my son. Viola
Guest guest
Bananas and latex allergies often go together too. My son can not tolerate bananas but seems fine with latex, or so I think, balloons, what little he's had a band aid on. Tammy Wanted to clarify my earlier post about Peptizyde and latex allergy... Guest guest
That's interesting - bananas and latex. My son can eat them, but I have to limit him to one a day - I thought maybe it was phenol or something - the sugar, but maybe he is having a reaction to the banana too! Ai yi yi!! Guest guest
We were talking with a friend about bananas. He said how much he hated bananas and every time he ate one his ears itched, really, really deep and they burned his throat. HELLO!!!!! I told him he was allergic to them! It was a light bulb moment for him. He'd never thought about it before! We have a friend that says the same thing about lemons. They both thought they tasted terrible and didn't like them at all. It was their bodies of saying, get away, allergic. Not always the case for kids. Some time they grave what they shouldn't have. With my nt 5 year old, he'd eat one, then he wouldn't again. He tested positive, pulled and we challenged maybe two years ago. He ate it, loved it but 24 hours later we had to hit the prednisone. Cough, cough, cough, cold like symptoms and no amount of albuterol would knock it down. Amazing! We avoid totally now! Tammy Wanted to clarify my earlier post about Peptizyde and latex allergy...
