Guest guest
Hi. I do gf/cf with my son. I was told going off it even a little bit will set you back at zero. It takes up to 3 months for the good effects... so every time you give in, you set him back completely and lose all that was gained. If you dont feel its possible to stick to it, your probably better off not doing it. AFP doesnt really make it ok to eat casein or gluten. Many people when weaning there child off the diet use it for that purpose. research enzymes at enzymestuff.com. No-fenol is for people who react badly to high phenol foods. What did your childs protocol consist of? After a month he could be too high in a particlar supplement and reacting to it. fat soluable vitamins a,d, and E can be toxic ( cause a bad reaction ) because they store in the body for a long time and add up unlike some water soluable vitamins. Many vitamins/minerals can be untolerable if dosed too high. Dana or anyone pls... ...questions My son was doing well with his supps and vitamins until 2 days ago all of a sudden he was going backwards, started stimming again, putting things in his mouth... our routine was not changed at all, with the exception, his lips were red and chapped so I put some vaseline on them to help the redness and the chapness. I know from another group it is a big no-no, so I won't be applying that on his lips again...but do you think this is the reason of his recent behavior? We are one month into his custom made protocol and were doing so well, speech, social (behaved properly when around people), no stimming, no biting objects or clothes. All of a sudden the social( starting pointing and talking loud at other people), the stimming and putting things in his mouth started again. Someone mentioned to change the vitamin E to a synthetic version, which I started today...if I see positive changes than I will continue with it...also his poops at one point were evey 3 days and mustardy, now they are more regular, daily, or at worst every other day, but the color is light brown. Is this normal? Also, I purchased the no-fenol and zyme-prime. With what foods should I give them to my son? We follow as much as possible a gfcf diet but at times I give into my 12 year old with certain foods he loves so much and I make sure he gets a Afp Peptizyde. His DAN! said things might get worse before they get better...did this happen with your child? Sorry for asking soooo many questions and being all over the place with this posting. I am just so confused. I don't know what may have triggered this, and I certainly don't want to stop his custom made protocol, he was doing so beautifully. Any info from anyone will be much appreciated. .. tks Helen Change settings via the Web ( ID required) Change settings via email: Switch delivery to Daily Digest | Switch format to Traditional Visit Your Group | Terms of Use | Unsubscribe Recent Activity 33 New Members Visit Your Group Health Early Detection Know the symptoms of breast cancer. Guest guest
For us, it's a viral sign. Guest guest
> My son was doing well with his supps and vitamins until 2 days ago all of a sudden he was going backwards, started stimming again, putting things in his mouth... Putting things in the mouth, at my house, meant food/supplement intolerance or yeast overgrowth. Is there anything new added or removed? If not, consider adding biotin or other yeast control, see if that helps. Another thing to consider. Once my son no longer needed a supplement, it tended to cause the same problem that initially it had resolved. >>I purchased the no-fenol and zyme-prime. With what foods should I give them to my son? Zyme Prime is good for almost all foods. No-Fenol for fruits and high phenol foods. Dana
Guest guest
Thanks Dana How can I pin point which supp he might not need anymore, if that's the case? He is taking 10 diff kinds and we still need to add 3 more to complete his protocol. Also in your opinion is zyme prime a better choice that afp peptizyde? I thought the afp peptizyde covered almost all foods. Thanks Heleni danasview <danasview@...> wrote: > My son was doing well with his supps and vitamins until 2 days ago all of a sudden he was going backwards, started stimming again, putting things in his mouth... Guest guest
OMG, I am worried. I would say we are 95% there with the gluten and 100% with casein. It is alittle more difficult with a 12 yr.old, although he has been an angel throughout this. He is taking the following: probiotics (HMF NEURO), 2caps AM , 2 caps PM Mucosal Builder(homemade recipe), 1tsp am and 1tsp pm SNT (super nu thera) liquid, 1/2tsp am and 1/2tsp pm zinc 15mg am and 1scoop sulfate cream at night (on his body) carnitine 500mg am fish oil nutra sea 1tsp am cod liver oil 1tsp pm glycine 250mg am and 250mg pm buffered vitamin c, 1/4tsp am and 1/4 tsp pm vitamin E 200iu am and 200iu pm coq10 30mg am epsom salt baths , 3x per week Besides all of the above we still have 3 more to add. We won't add until I ge to the bottom of what is making him go haywire. We were told to add slowly one every week. All this in preparation for his b12 shots. Does anything pop out to make you think I should eliminate? This is soooo hard. Heleni Hi. I do gf/cf with my son. I was told going off it even a little bit will set you back at zero. Guest guest
For my son, mouthing and stimming mean that yeast is starting to take over.

At my house, once my son no longer needed a supplement, it would tend to cause the same problems that it had initially resolved. > Also in your opinion is zyme prime a better choice that afp peptizyde? I thought the afp peptizyde covered almost all foods. AFP is stronger for gluten/casein/soy. Dana
