That is not a " normal " TSH reading if you have been taking Synthroid, even though it is within the reference range. The lab reference range applies to people who are asymptomatic and unmedicated. Both the American Society of Clinical Endocrinologists and the National Academy of Clinical Biochemists have recommended the range be shifted to lower values if you are treated. Unfortunately, many doctors do not know this. Chuck

Guest guest
Midnight, Welcome to the list. Most people here believe that chelating a child will work best if you chelate with the Cutler protocol for dosing. It is hard to find a doctor who knows about this and therefore many of us do this part of our treatment by ourselves. The information you need is in the files section put together by Moria. You can also find the supplements Andy recommends in a file called supplements. There have been a number of reports by parents and doctors that TD isn't very effective for chelation. You may want to consider oral. Most of our kids are pretty sensitive yet most also tolerate the oral. I do realize that there are exceptions though. Glad to hear you're having such successs with your son already :-) Anita > > Hello, I am new to this group. I have a 5 yr old son who was DX w/ > ASD/ SPD (SI) at 3. My son tolerated no foods or supplements, and I used oral ALA with him with much success. So don't discount oral, even if your child has a sensitive system. > How long do you have to do treatments ? I chelated my son for 2-1/2 years. Other supplements took longer. > How long are they good for? Once chelation was completed and I had corrected my son's immune system and his body's inability to clear toxins, I have not had to chelate since. > Has anyone heard of all these allergies in such going away from > treatment? My son has no more allergies/intolerances. No food problems, no environmental problems, no nothing. It is very nice. Good luck. Dana
