So many of us have gone through challenging times with our children, so we have an idea how tough things can get (doctors/school/individuals/even ourselves all not understanding what's going on with our child). Personally, I feel it comes down to mainly a " processing " thing. Certain individuals cannot process certain foods and/or certain environmental things (such as fragrance and other chemicals/toxins) properly. For our dd, she cannot process artificial colors, preservatives, corn, wheat, chocolate, soy, Barley, Malt, B and E Vit's properly (as seen in behavioral changes, sleep changes, anxiety changes, increased sensory issues, stuttering changes, and/or skin changes), so we try to avoid all of these things with the exception of maybe once a month. Houston's enzymes, " No-Fenol " and " AFP Peptizyde " , have helped a great deal as well as going on the Feingold Diet (www.feingold.org). Have you considered educating your little one at home? We've been homeschooling now for the past four years with a wonderful curriculum called K12 (www.k12.com). Deciding to homeschool was the best decision we could have ever made for our precious daughter as she would have been put into the office or time-outs (as she was in her Pre-K school) on a regular basis, which, over time, would have hurt her self esteem. Plus, all of the chemical contacts would have been detrimental to her health. Another advantage to homeschooling is you'll be able to keep to a proper diet for your little one. A diet that will work BEST for her body and you can avoid fragrance encounters that can change behavior due to the fact that many of our sensitive kids cannot process out toxin's properly (Chemicals/Toxins are in: perfume, fragrance in soaps, artwork paint, fragrance on the clothes from laundry detergent, plug-in's,...). We found some good organic products (Household cleaner, shampoo's, soap,...) at a company called, Aubrey Organics (www.aubry-organics.com). Try to stick mainly to healthy types of foods (organic, not processed foods)and drink lots of water. Stick to foods with no artificial colors, no preservatives, and if your child is not negatively reactive to milk, purchase an organic Hormone-free Vit D milk. Don't buy the low fat milks, as they have a preservative in the Vit. A Palmitate. Get the whole milk (Vit D) and if you want less fat, just add a little cold water to it (helps save money too since the milk lasts longer). If you need some ideas, feel free to contact me directly at K12userfor2@... Also, stop all suppliments for now (you can start them up if needed in the future one at a time over a one week process or so while keeping everything else consistent, so you'll be able to see what she may or may not be reactive to), be sure to purchase or home make toxin-free foods (nothing artificial...if a food has " Vanillin " in it, that's artificial. Make sure it has " Vanilla " ...We purchase the liquid Vanilla without any alcohol in it to bake cookies and other things). Have you tried Houston's enzymes yet? They made a world of difference for our child's behavior (www.houstonii.com)...We get the capsules without the papain and bromelain as our dd gets more hyperactive with those (but they're fine for most people; we just have a VERY sensitive little girl who reacts to a lot of different things). Each child has their own unique combination of things that will work out best for them. It just takes time, patience, and trial and error to figure things. Keep us informed as to how things are going (we all learn from each other)... Best wishes, Gretchen
