Fish Oil and Sleep Problems?

My three year old son just started NN CLO for kids a couple weeks ago.

I was giving him 1/2 tsp am and 1/2 tsp pm. He started having

consistent night waking about one week into it. He is normally a

pretty good sleeper and is now waking at least once, sometimes four

times, every night. When he wakes he is wide awake and

screaming/crying heavily, which is highly unusual for him. I am

wondering if the CLO may be having some neuro impact that is causing

this problem. Any ideas? Thanks, Kate

  • 2 weeks later...

I gave my daughter CLO as a baby and toddler, then stopped for a few

years. Then I decided to start again (I can't remember why and it's not

relevant). Remember that she took it as a baby and toddler. This day

that I re-introduced the CLO was theWORST day that we have ever had with

her. She's now 14. Nothing has been worse. Awful, out of the blue,

constant crying (write the book yourself). She was about 5. I stopped

CLO. Years passed, we started giving her pills for gut inflammation,

with considerable trepidation I reintroduced CLO. She was fine, she

blossomed.

I have always felt that something about CLO will turn out to have some

major impact/effect on autism. If I were you, I would stop the CLO,

address other issues and return to it later.

If the CLO is flavored, try one that isn't.

My son did not tolerate CLO until I added mito cocktail and amino

acids, and preloaded with Omega 6. I wrote about it here

My son could not process fatty acids until we started inositol. He is

further helped by zyme prime. We still dont give CLO at night but in

the morning. He would wake up in a very similar way with too much

fats of any kind.
