Guest guest Posted February 10, 2001 Report Posted February 10, 2001 We went to Charlotte today for Tatijana's weekly checks/adjustments and I was told that we can start going every other week instead of every week now and that she may only be in the band for four months. I thought she would be in the band for a longer period of time as she didn't start the band until she was 19 months old. There has been some good improvement in just a little over a week of wear. I am so happy that we only have to go every other week. The drive to Charlotte is long. Just thought I would update all on Tatijana. Guest guest Posted February 10, 2001 Report Posted February 10, 2001 Johanna, That is great news!! What a relief, huh? My son Josh also didn't get his DOC until he was 19 months. He got it Oct 23rd and only has another week or 2 and he is DONE!!!! Yay. He has had about 70% correction. The back of his head looks great! There is some asymetery but not like it was before. My daughter will be getting her DOC band next week - she is almost 1 yr old & I've been a little worried as to how long she'd be in it! I hope we have the same wonderful progress as all of you! She rec'd the STARband 11/4/00 at age 8 mos., and the STARband did absolutely nothing to improve her flatness or assymetries, needless to say, that is so disappointing, we wasted 3 valuable mos.. But hearing all the good about the DOC band is so encouraging to us.!
