God, does that sound familiar. My son's thing right now is tape.

He wants me to keep pulling off a piece so he can put it on

something. Or he wants to put things on or around objects. Like

especially the metal thing on a pen...he wants it to be put on a

piece of paper so it lines up perfectly over and over again. I am

about to lose my mind!

When my kids do these things, it is yeast. My daughter's latest

yeast thing is needing to rip paper into tiny equal pieces, with

many permutations on how that's supposed to go, and what can go

wrong with that; at least it doesn't involve participation. lol.

Consider increasing your yeast protocol, or get one, if you don't

have one.

My almost 5 yr old asd son obsesses over little objects.

Hi

For us, OCD /repetitive behaviours like you describe are viral indicators.

Increasing / adding anti-viral supplements should help out.

Good luck

:-)

Posted

Almost a week ago, I started him on Nystatin for yeast, but I don't think I

am giving him any anti-viral supplements. Could you tell me what some

anti-viral supplements would be? Thanks. Amber.

Almost a week ago, I started him on Nystatin, will that eventually help

this? Amber.

Could you tell me what some anti-viral supplements would be?

Hi Amber

OLE (olive leaf extract) is useful. The enzyme " Virastop " by Enzymedica is

very effective - best given on an empty stomach which can be tricky.

A high dose Vit A protocol is also effective (look it up on Dana's site).

Others mention Lauricidin and Monolaurin as good antivirals but I have not

used these.

Beware that as you eliminate the viruses, the yeast will probably get worse

(sigh!). Dana (the yeast expert) recently noted that her best success

against yeasts has been with Biotin and No Fenol. In the past we'd heard

best successes with rotating different anti-fungals so none of the many

different varieties of yeast can get too well established. The Nystatin

you're using is a good start, but won't necessarily knock out all the

different types of yeast. Introducing a probiotic which helps colonize the

gut with good guys also helps as then there's less room for the bad guys.

Good luck

:-)

OCD behaviors, for my son, meant virus issues. I use ViraStop enzyme,

OLE, and a few other things for this.

And Candidase, and GSE is the hard hitter.

This is a good idea also.

You could also check out the viral file in the files section. It

has a list, although it is an incomplete one.

I don't think he is obsessing over the lego pieces, I think he is obsessing over

interacting

with mommy. He doesn't know how, though, so he is doing something like the baby

who

keeps dropping food off the highchair to watch the grownups put it together.

Note that he

threw himself on *your* bed when he melted down. Actually I think this is a

good

thing...you just need to know how to take advantage of it...next time continue

to interact

with him, but change what you do, just a little, to challenge him. Put together

three pieces

or put one on your nose instead to make him laugh...it's an opportunity for

" circles of

interaction " that Greenspan talks about in The Child with Special Needs...hope I

got that

author right. Yep, it's Stanley, though, not the financial guy...

Make a small change in his game, so he has to change what he is doing. BTW that

is a very

good book. It sounds to me like your son is trying to draw you into his world.

And he is

very persistant about it. Do you use PECS or some other visual way to

communicate with

him? Please excuse the advice but you asked for some...

Peace,

Kathy E.

Hi Dana,

I recently finished vitamin A protocol. I gave him synthetic vitamin A 40000

IU(twinlab) for

two days and now give him one and a half spoon of clo every day for

mainteneance. But I

do not see any unusual behavior either way. Since I was suspecting his

regression after

measles shot I guess I will have to retry about 6 month later. Do you think this

is an ok

idea?

I am giving my son 20 capsules of virastop mixed in small amount of yogurt now

since he

can't swallow capsules. Do you think it is still effective enough. It says that

it should be

given in empty stomach and I do not see any signs either way yet(he is on

virastop for 1

week now). Also I know that I have to reduce dosage gradually after three weeks.

But do I

give him none eventually or I have to give him maintenance dosage every day?

My son is autistic with lots of ocd behavior. And I'd like to try other ways if

there are more

options. When you were using ole together with virastop, in what ratio did you

use these

two together?

Thanks!

You wrote 40,000. It needs to be 400,000. And I used TwinLab, altho

it has since been discontinued. The TwinLab I used was retinyl

acetate, which has a 15% potency loss. So I had to use 500,000 IU per

day to make up for that. Info here

I had to do it twice, the second time was more than 500,000 IU, plus I

had to add OLE. I did the two protocols one month apart, altho it is

recommended to do 6 months apart.

> I am giving my son 20 capsules of virastop mixed in small amount of

Probably, altho you can try giving it mixed in honey, that might be

more effective.

It says that it should be

Why do you reduce the dose of ViraStop? I had to give high doses of

anti-virals for an entire year.

>>When you were using ole together with virastop, in what ratio did

> two together?

2000mg OLE plus 4 capsules ViraStop 3x per day.
