Guest guest
I am seriously considering home-schooling for my 4 yr old children (a trio). One is PDD and the others are basically NT with behavior issues. My PDD daughter has been in an early childhood program thru the school district for 1.5 yrs and I can't honestly say that it has done a thing to help her with her language/social/sensory deficits. She seems to do much better when she is at home during the summer. Plus there is the problem of food and other issues that you have to constantly worry about when they are in somebody elses care. I have been *very nervous* in my thoughts about this, wondering if I could really pull it off (I have 4 children total and am currently neck deep in bio-medical research and intervention) So I am wondering if any of you home-schooling mothers can point me to a place where I can actually look at some of the programs and maybe give myself some assurance as to whether or not this is a do- able thing for my family. Also would like to know how much time is typically spent each day, especially for the pre-school and kindergarten programs. Thanks for any input.
