The red ears is commonly associated with phenol intolerance. http://www.danasview.net/phenol.htm You can try No-Fenol enzyme for this, if you want. Hi , Just saw your post and thought I would add some info here because we live in Eastern Europe and have been doing a search ourselves for a DAN doctor on this continent. I know you have found one in the USA, but I thought I would let you know that there is one in Northern Germany who does treat with DAN protocol and chelate (she speaks English as well): Brigitte Esser, M.D. Apolloniash. (?) 9-11 Post K I (?) 1366 Herzogenrath Germany ph: +49 2406929417 fax: +49 2406929419 In addition to practicing in Germany, she and a few other physicians from various European countries do a clinic in Poland. We have not yet consulted with her (money reasons), but I do know that an initial consultation at the Polish clinic is 300euro, so I assume the cost at the German clinic would be similar. Since I have not yet consulted with her, I can't give an opinion on whether she is a good DAN doc. However, I gathered all of this info from listmates on the austism-biomedical-europe group, which is a group that could help you get more info on treating in Europe (although there is a lot of info there geared toward England). Also, I would recommend a couple of books that could help you, and you can order from Amazon which has shipment from Germany: Children With Starving Brains, McCandless Special Diets for Special Kids, Hopefully this could help you a little bit before you head to the USA, and at least you know that there are possibly options where you live now. Thankfully you are at an APO so ordering supplements, if you choose to do so, shouldn't be so expensive and won't be subject to customs! I wish you the best- Satia
