Hi Listmates,

I have a friend who has been suffering from " something " for 2.5 years. She

gets sweats so bad, she must change her undergarments sometimes more than

twice/day. She has asked mainstream docs constantly if there was a chance that

toxins in her body could be a cause. She has been told no. One night this week

she couldn't sleep, so she searched online and discovered she has all the

classic symptoms of leaky gut syndrome. I want to help her begin to heal. She is

35. She has been told by a doctor she may also have a very little known (here in

the US) disease called " Periodic Fever Syndrome " which is of English or ish

origin. Her maiden name is Leet. She doesn't know much about her ancestry. Has

anyone heard of this?

Where should she begin?

Thanks!

I've just joined another group to learn info about hypothyroid

conditions since my son has a lab that shows he has high thyroglobulin

antibodies. I've read several posts from women with this condition

complaining about excessive sweating especially in the groin area. The

moderator has some good info on stopthethyroidmadness.com

This can definitely be caused by the body attempting to detox.

Enzymes are good to consider, altho start really slowly. I use HNI

enzymes

Is this fever all the time on a constant day by day basis, or does it

suddenly appear at certain times and then later just go away? If it is

the later one, there is this symptom of illness or fever appearing in

cycles that is associated with viral problems. The period of time may

be weeks or months, but is characterized by unknown appearance,

lasting a bit, and then disappears again. This pattern is discussed

along with other viral associated patterns here:

Hi ,

As your friend has gut problems and she is of English and ish origin it

might be worthwhile for her to check for Celiac Disease/Gluten Sensitivity.

I never heard of this fever problem.

All the best,

Yannic
