Hi Dana--that's interesting about the avocados being high phenol--thank you.

I will look into the vitamin C--do you think unbuffered might bother her reflux

though?

I will raise the magnesium and check out the enzymes--which Houston one do you

think--HN zyme prime?

Thanks again,

is so reactive to foods.

Avocados and certain varieties of squash are high phenol.

Try TwinLabs Allergy C, which might help even if unbuffered.

Try increasing this, maybe to 800mg.

The version without rice bran

Not Dana, but for phenol intolerance, use the No Fenol from HNI.

They are high phenol and also high amine.

I don't know. Try TwinLabs Allergy C, which is made from sago palm

and not from corn. Maybe it will help.

Try the SCD version first, without papain/bromelain.

I buy Natural Factors brand from my local health food store.

It is helpful as anti-viral, and viral " die off " does tend to cause

yeast for us, so watch for increased yeast, maybe increase your yeast

protocol.

My #4 has one eye that would wander with virus issues, as well as a

few other issues.

I gave anti-virals and watched the improvements.

Dr. McCandless recommends a viral panel by Immunosciences Lab.

Dana,

Thanks for the info. You said your 4th child has the eye issue and it comes

along with viruses and other factors. What other factors have you noticed

impact it?

Thanks,

  • 3 weeks later...

This is yeast for my kids. OLE can aggravate yeast.

I can't remember how I got this information (I'm on several list serv's), so

if I'm repeating I apologize.

Here's a special cup for swallowing pills. I haven't tried it yet, but I've

heard positive results from others.

I taught them how to swallow capsules. #3 still does not like

capsules, so I mix his into peanut butter and honey.

More ideas here

should work with caps and tabs too.

Fingers crossed though I might go into withdrawal after all this time of

opening caps and grinding tabs LOL

I promptly bought this cup when I read about it on a listserve. It

will handle a horse pill, so, yes, it will handle a regular capsule.

It did not work for my son. He used it like you're supposed to, then

held the capsule in his mouth and took it out with his fingers. On

trial number three we had juice all over the kitchen floor, and me

saying, " Okay, if you're not going to swallow it, then I guess you're

just going to have to keep drinking yucky drinks. " Great parenting....

LOL, that is about what I would expect to have happen here, thanks for the

blow by blow.

This is what I thought would happen here as well--however, it might help me--I

have a hard time with those large pills.

Thanks for sharing--it gave me a laugh!

Any ideas? Die off?

Bad breath is commonly caused by bad bacteria overgrowth, food

intolerance, and yeast. My guess would be yeast caused by the viral

" die off " that OLE generally causes. Try increasing your yeast

protocol, see if that helps.

You can also try giving the OLE with No-Fenol enzyme, in case she is

not tolerating the OLE.

Dana,

my daughter now has a bumpy rash on her shoulders, could this be viral?

Thanks,

For my son, viral " die off " does cause an itchy rash all over his

body. So yes, that rash can be viral " die off " .

My son gets an itchy rash with viral " die off " . It is a full-body

rash, but not on his hands. It stops at his wrists [and ankles]. Are

you doing any anti-virals? SCD is generally for yeast, not viruses.

Maybe it is yeast die off, or intolerance to one or more of the foods?

Hi Dana,

Yes, my 18 month old and I are on SCD, I think it can cause viral die

off too, but I'm not sure.

Would yeast give me a rash on my hands? Stranger things have

happened! I did stop honey recently.

Dana,

do you do your supplements separately or get a multi? I have a multi

created by sidney baker and nancy o'hara and it has biotin, but I'm

concerned how the other vits will affect her (B6, etc).

Thanks,

I have never read that it can cause viral die off. Try giving vitamin

C or OLE, see if that increases the rash.

One of my kids detoxes thru his skin, but not on his hands.

Interesting reaction anyway!

hydroxiapitate?

If all the supplements are separate, how do you get everything in

them?

Where did you get your biotin?

How did you know which supplements they needed? Testing?

Thanks Dana!

Depends on which supplements they were. Some of them I gave every

day, others only every other day. I taught my kids how to swallow

capsules, so that helped.

At my local health food store.

Observations of symptoms, then trial and error.

We could never use a multivitamin either, until we tried the multivitamin

powder from Life Extension Foundation. It agrees with her and there are

probably 30 things in it. You can purchase a trial/travel size and it can be

ordered without copper and iron. It got rid of our little 4.11 UTI that had

been recurring for about a year.
