Guest guest
Pat, I think charcoal is invaluable for absorbing the toxins from yeast die off, but I never heard anyone say that is was also useful for redistribution, but maybe I am wrong. Guest guest
I am not aware of it absorbing redistribution, other than be useful for grabbing metals in the gut..for example when you have amalgams removed, you can take some just after to absorb any amalgam you may have swallowed or the mercury laden spit from the removal so that it is not absorbed in the gut. But charcoal will not remove anything from the blood, tissues etc. Just the gut..so not sure if it would be useful or not for that purpose. > > Listmates, > Another parent informed me that she gives her child activated charcoal > to help with redistribution. Guest guest
Hi , I use activated charcoal for my son when he gets too high a dose of something that has caused an aggravation. It really helps to alleviate those side effects. I use it for detoxing too fast, accidental dietary infractions (took hives away in 15 minutes after giving), yeast or bacteria, high histamine season (occasionally), and when he's acting " off " and I have no idea why. It's so amazingly helpful to me that I keep it in my purse at all times. I gave it to him one time and he had a stool that looked like it had furr all over it. Yucky to say, but so glad it came out rather than stayed in. It really helps his gut issues. And those are the remaining issues we have yet to conquer. Guest guest
Redistribution happens when the water in the bowels are reabsorbed. That's why redistribution is a big concern with chelators whose primary route of excretion is through the bowels. Activated charcoal can absorb toxins in the colon. Here is some info about the absorption of water from the colon. " The colon absorbs water while forming stool as food passes through. The stool is solid when it reaches the rectum because the colon has absorbed all the water from it. " --Some info on activated charcoal. " Activated Charcoal is the world's strongest absorbent, its position being unrivalled by any known substitute in industry, chemistry, toxology, and the military. It is able to take up toxic gases, disease germs, fluid toxic wastes or heavy metals. It is a miracle substance. Absorbs rapidly within a minute and has indefinite shelf life. It takes up drugs in the stomach, small intestine, colon, and from the blood, back into the gastrointestinal tract. Activated Charcoal may be taken orally (powder mixed in a glass of water, by way of capsules and tablets) or used as a compress. " Here is a really good site with info it's uses. http://www.tagnet.org/oah/herbal/charcoal.html I hope this is helpful.
