Guest guest
I'm currently using ia for son's yeast and virals. He was exposed to TB in the orphanage (Russia). Results of TB skin test (two years ago) were positive. Chest X-ray was neg. I do not recall the name of the medication we had to give him but he had to take it for nine months. Do you think viral supps will effect any dormant TB still lingering in his body? What are your thoughts? Lori

TB is bacterial, not viral. However, many anti-virals are also anti-bacterial [i know OLE is, and I have read that Virastop is also]. Isoniazid [iNH] is usually rx for latent TB. Here is the CDC page, if you want to read it http://www.cdc.gov/nchstp/tb/faqs/qa.htm I don't know whether anti-virals and/or anti-bacterials will affect any resident TB, altho theoretically the INH eliminates it. Guest guest
Are you sure he did not get a TB vaccine in Russia? I grew up in Europe and it is fairly common there to vaccinate against TB. My TB skin test is still positive because of that vaccine. > > I'm currently using ia for son's yeast and virals. > He was exposed to TB in the orphanage (Russia). Guest guest
I guess its possible. He does have a little round scar on his left arm between his shoulder and elbow. (sort of like a smal pox scar) > > > > I'm currently using ia for son's yeast and virals. > > He was exposed to TB in the orphanage (Russia). Guest guest
Is the scar rough and looks pocked? This is likely that vaccine. They used to use it here in the US. Many people in their 50's or older have this same scar on their arm. Viral treatment probably wouldn't hurt, as he could have other viruses anyway. > > > > > > I'm currently using ia for son's yeast and virals. > > > He was exposed to TB in the orphanage (Russia). Guest guest
His scar is small. About the size of a pencil eraser. Its not rough but soft and indented. We're still pushing the viral/yeast supplement. Rashes are coming and going. Does that mean its working? Today he played with the dog! I couldnt believe my eyes! We're only a week into the viral and yeast treament and already seeing some progress. I hope it lasts.. Guest guest
The TB vaccines will show up as a + and drs will want to treat it even though they don't have it. My dd from China had one, but her TB test came out -. I was wondering what that scar was on her left arm. It's more of a line though. I knew she had had one though. M [ ] Re: Viral question! Dana/ ? For my son, yes, that meant the viruses were coming out. Dana
