Guest guest
___,,,^.~.^,,,___ Some interesting links on EDTA--- http://www.chm.bris.ac.uk/motm/edta/edtah.htm http://www.umm.edu/altmed/ConsSupplements/EthylenediaminetetraaceticAcidEDTAcs.h\ tml [ ] Propel contains EDTA This is strange. We got a free sample of the new " Propel " powder, which is supposed to be an energy drink. I was looking at the ingredients and it contains EDTA - the chelator. In searching, I found it on the pepsi website (http://www.pepsi.com/pepsi_brands/nutrition_facts/PropelFitnessWaters.pdf#searc\ h=%22propel%20edta%22) but it doesn't say how much, and I looked at wikipedia and it does say that it is used in food and beverages (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calcium_disodium_EDTA). Anyone have any idea how much is in these? I'm mostly just curious - we don't do many commercial drinks anyway. But I also thought you should all know about it. Guest guest
Most of those energy drinks are all junk. They advertise like they are healthy, but when you read the ingredients.. all junk. The amount is not much but it is in a lot of foods and drinks as well as cosmetics, lotions, etc. I think if you consume enough products in one day that contain it likely you might not feel well. Thanks for bringing it up. Not to many people realize that it is used a preservative. > > ___,,,^.~.^,,,___ Some interesting links on EDTA--- > > http://www.chm.bris.ac.uk/motm/edta/edtah.htm > http://www.umm.edu/altmed/ConsSupplements/EthylenediaminetetraaceticA cidEDTAcs.html > > [ ] Propel contains EDTA > > > This is strange.
