Guest guest Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 What is your dosing schedule like? Are you doing 3 days on and 11 days off? carolynw4 <carolynw4@...> wrote: Hi Everyone, I've been chelating for 1 year and 3 months now using TDDMPS. I'm dosing every four hours because that's what my doctor and I have found works best for me. If I wait until eight hours to dose I get a rash. When I started I could only handle a total of eight drops per day using this dosage schedule. I'm not up to 40 drops each day. Things were going really well, but I've hit another rough time. I'm so tired. I'm getting atleast 7-8 hours each night which is normally enough for me. I have huge bags under my eyes from the minute I wake up in the morning. I'm on many of the suggested vitamins to use during chelation. There's many so I'm not going to list them here unless someone wants to know. I had a fecal metals test done about a month ago and I had off the charts Cadmium. My result was 1.29 and the reference range is below .50 Antimony, Bismuth, Copper, Nickel, Thallium, Tungsten were all in the yellow and over the reference range. All the other heavy metals except for mercury were pretty close to being in the yellow. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Should I cut back on the amount of DMPS or should I just try to ride it out? Carolyn --------------------------------- The best gets better. See why everyone is raving about the All-new . Quote

Guest guest Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 Are you taking something for yeast? Did you have a hair test and apply counting rules? You didn't get a flu shot, did you? Guest guest Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 Maybe you should switch to the 3/11 schedule, it might be easier on your system. It is worth a try. carolynw4 <carolynw4@...> wrote: I'm doing 3 days on and 4 days off. > > What is your dosing schedule like? I am chelating with oral DMPS. When I increased the dose from 18 to 25 mg the fatigue was too much. When I dropped the dose back down I was ok. After a very long time at 18 mg I was eventually able to increase to 25 mg and stay there without the fatigue. J > Things were going really well, but I've hit another rough time. I'm > so tired. Guest guest Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 Hi Carolyn Are you using the supplements Andy recommends for cadmium chelation? They are a bit different than just mercury - emphasis on keeping urine pH high, a few extra supplements for energy problems, adrenal support, etc. Cadmium isn't very nice to your adrenals or kidneys, or your heart. This information is on pages 95-96 and 242-243 of the Hair Test book. (I'm assuming that a high urine Cd result means that you have cadmium " issues " - this may or may not be the case. Cadmium is hard to get rid of, so good for you!) Hope this helps Rene > > Hi Everyone, > > > Things were going really well, but I've hit another rough time. Guest guest Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 I'm about to start my son on oral DMPS. He's 14 and about 117 pounds. The doctor prescribed 50 mg every 8 hours for 3 days on and 11 off. Does this seem too high? (I already have the capsules. Can I just give half of one capsule if too high?) Also, she wants to do a challenge test of 250 mg and then proceed with the normal dose of 50 mg for the rest of the 3 days. (Does that seem dangerous?) Carla Quote

Mineral deficiency will make me tired. Certain supplements will make me REALLY sleepy, narcoleptic, so I have to take them at night. And, the supplements which do this are constantly changing, which can be frustrating and occasionally dangerous. B vitamins are the worst for making me sleepy. I actually use them as a sleeping aid/pill. Dana Quote

Guest guest Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 The dr. go by weight, but when I tried the td-dmps and started very low and tried working up to the target dose given by the dr., I found out that my son was getting too much, and it gave him disburbing strange symptoms, he complained of being hot a lot, and his bun and creatinine numbers got all screwed up on his blood work so I gave up on td-dmps and went back the the conservative dr. who only used glutathione, and/or metal-free. I found out from the vendor of td-dmps that my son's symptoms meant we had exceeded a threshold for my son and he was being given too much. You have to be careful with following their instructions as they are not always right. Some kids are more sensitive than others. >>> <carla925@...> 12/8/2006 10:29:25 AM >>> I'm about to start my son on oral DMPS. He's 14 and about 117 pounds. Guest guest Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 I am 160 pounds and I only take 12.5 mg of dmsa. And that was hard to take at first. Double check the dosing per pound in the files for dmps. No challege tests..they are not useful and can make him sicker. Search the old posts on this one. Yes, it's dangerous! > > I'm about to start my son on oral DMPS. He's 14 and about 117 pounds. The > doctor prescribed 50 mg every 8 hours for 3 days on and 11 off. Does this > seem too high? Guest guest Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 Don't do the challenge test. 250 mg is too high a dose and still runs the risk of redistribution (pushing mercury into the brain) even following it with regular doses. Guest guest Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 I don't feel the 3/11 schedule would work for me because about the day before I'm supposed to start chelating again, I start to feel yucky. For yeast, Im taking Candex by NOW and probiotics. I had a hair test before starting chelation and applied the counting rules. Yes, I did fit as mercury toxic. I didn't get a flu shot, and I have no mercury amalgam dental fillings. Yes, I'm using several of the vitamins Andy suggests. I'm using B Vitamins, Vitamin D, C, & E, zinc, calcium, magnesium, and acetyl-l- carnitine. Those are along with many other supplements. The high Cd was in my fecal. TD DMPS removes metals mostly through the fecal and not the urine. I have yeast, but can't seem to get rid of it. I have had thyroid and adrenal testing done. My thyroid is fine and so is my adrenal. My DHEA was really high, but my doctor said that's from stress. Carolyn Quote
Guest guest Posted December 9, 2006 Report Posted December 9, 2006 How about switching to DMSA? Oral, not transdermal. If you haven't already, you could check your lab results with the women at naturalthyroidhormones group. Unfortunately most doctors don't know how to read those labs correctly. I went through an internist and an endocrinologist who said my thyroid was fine, and it took a long long time to get at what I really needed. And when you're feeling that wall of fatigue, getting stuff sorted out and making appointments, etc is so hard. Nell Quote
Guest guest Posted December 9, 2006 Report Posted December 9, 2006 Challenges are always dangerous. We don't do them, period.
