Guest guest
Katrina, You can do a hair analysis through Doctors Data Inc. You can do this without a doctor. This is a very painless and reliable way to see what toxins your baby might have. From there you can chelate her. Most conventional testing that doctors do really does not show whether or not she has mercury or most other metals for that fact. This hair test will tell you if you follow the interpretation rules in the files. As for her vaccines, while this is a personal choice, we have chosen not to vaccinate our kids any further because current vaccines contain a lot of aluminum and other nasty chemicals like ethylene glycol( yes, antifreeze). I beleive that vaccinating my 3 year old son as an infant had a lot to do with his problems now. He is very high in aluminum, and we know he could never have gotten such a high level from food. You can postpone the vaccines until you research it further, or you can file a religious exemption. This usually is just a notarized letter. Check your state laws. But it is your right to refuse those shots and they cannot make you do it. I would read a book called " What every parent should know about vaccines " and there are other great books that give the facts. It will tell you what risks if any there are to ever catch any of those diseases. Vaccines do damage the immune system. If you are concerned with metals, it might be best to avoid vaccinations. The flu vaccine still contains mercury. There are natural ways to treat illnesses, and with a healthy immune system and nutrition, she isn't likely to get those diseases anyway. As for doctors, not to many know anything about metal exposure let along acknowledge it's risks. Many of us are treating our kids on our own, as it is fairly easy and not dangerous as doctors might try to tell you. Likely if you run into the pediatrician with your baby and tell them you think she is poisoned from tuna fish, they will think you are crazy. What you can do is read the files section of this board. It will tell you how to chelate and what supplements to take. I would also read up on how to avoid any more metal exposures. For example: using filtered water only, organic formula if you are not nursing, etc. There are many sources of metals in the enviornment that will add to her burden. So reducing those exposures is important. All this information will seem overwelming at first, but it does get easier to handle as you learn about it and what to do to help her and yourself. Do you have any metal fillings? Were you vaccinated as a kid? I did have my daughter tested for mercury with a blood test and it showed a level of 1. Mercury does not stay in the blood very long before settling into tissues and brain. The doctor dismissed our concerns for her, however her hair test shows mercury. And we know she was exposed from my fillings, her baby vaccines, and then her own fillings, and the coal fired power plant down the road. I have done five rounds of chelation with my son and two with my daughter. It is a remarkable difference in them. Does your baby show any signs? Yeast problems, thrush, colic, not sleeping well, startling easy, crying a lot? She may not, but mine did. Please feel free to ask whatever you need! This board is wonderful and everyone here is great! > > Hi everyone! I am new here and I have a 6 month old daughter named > Emma. Guest guest
Thank you so much for your help. Emma is smiling, laughing, and cooing (no babble yet). She does tend to startle easy every now and then. She has not had colic nor has she been hard to sooth. No problems with food either. I am feeding her Enfamil Lipil as well as Earth's Best Rice Cereal and Oatmeal. I have been wanting to use Nordic Naturals omega supplements but I think that she is too young. Have you ever used these? I live in Texas and they offer all 3 exemptions for vaccs. I am going to do what you suggested and postpone her shots till I finish reading Dr. Cave's book. I went to doctorsdata.com and it looks like they send to the test to the doctor? Am I reading this wrong? > > > > Hi everyone! I am new here and I have a 6 month old daughter named > > Emma. Guest guest
To do a DDI hair elements test without a doctor you have to order it through Direct Lab Services (DLS). Guest guest
Katrina, Please watch these two videos before getting any shots: 1. This is the shocking but extremely informative video documentary Vaccination - The Hidden Truth (1998) where fifteen people, including Dr. Viera Scheibner (a PhD researcher), five medical doctors, other researchers, reveal what is really going on in relation to illness and vaccines. Ironically, the important facts come from the orthodox medicine?s own peer-reviewed research. With so much government and medical promotion of vaccination for prevention of disease, the video is clearly devoted to presenting the other side of the issue that parents and others are not being told. The result is a damning account of the ineffectiveness of vaccines and their often harmful effects. It declares that parents are not being told the truth by the media, the Health Department and the medical establishment, with a medical doctor, Dr. Mark Donohoe, confessing that " It is a problem for me that I am part of a profession that is systematically lying to people? " . Find out how vaccines are proven to have harmful effects to your health and why do we still have to be vaccinated although there is no real need for it. Although many people simply refuse to believe this, the impeccable documentation presented in this amazing video has changed the minds of many who saw it. 90 min. http://video.google.com/videoplay? docid=8610554679207090010 & q=Vaccination+-+The+Hidden+TruthDawnT and 2. See this video filmed by the University of Calgary of an actual brain neuron - watch what happens to it when it is exposed to (a low amount of) mercury: http://commons.ucalgary.ca/mercury/ The following is a written article about this video: http://unisci.com/stories/20011/0327013.htm Mercury is the second most poisonous element known to man (next to uranium and its derivatives). As illustrated in the above video, neurons are observed to disintegrate in its presence. It has also been found to cause changes to chromosomes. The U.S. has known about the potential problems of thimerosal (compound in vaccines that contains mercury) for many years. The World Health Organization voiced concerns as far back as 1990. Mercury is a highly toxic element which does not easily leave the body. Once ingested, injected, or inhaled, it stays and accumulates. An infant can receive in one day's doses of vaccines as much as the absolute maximum set by the W.H.O. for 3 months of exposure, but it is not safe at ANY level. > > Hi everyone! Guest guest
Thank you for those videos. I have decided not to vacc anymore. I should have done my research before I had Emma. But I am like the millions of other parents - if the doctor says it's okay, then it must be okay. > > > > Hi everyone! I am new here and I have a 6 month old daughter named > > Emma. Guest guest
Are there still vaccines available with Mercury? If no, what is the danger of vaccinations now? I have a friend with 5 month old twins. She is vaccinating bc she says vaccines no longer contain mercury. I don't know how to answer. Guest guest
That was what I had thought also. But there has just been too much research against vaccs. I just bought the book What your doctor may not tell you about childhood vaccinations by Cave and it was a total eye opener. I wish I would have read it before I had Emma. If I would have she would not have been given any shots. My deal was that I ate a lot of tuna during pregnancy. I am worried about both. So I have decided to get the hair test and go from there. > > > > > > > > Hi everyone! I am new here and I have a 6 month old daughter > > named > > > > Emma. Guest guest
Hi Barb, I don't think she is showing any symptoms of mercury poisoing. Are the symptoms the same as autism? She is alert, smiling, laughing, cooing, loves to be held, no sleep problems, or allergies. We are working on sitting up right now. Are there " red flag " signs that I need to be watching out for? For the shots - at the very least I would make sure they are thimerosal free and I would do a " delayed " schedule so you aren't overloading the system with any particular toxin at once (e.g., aluminum that has replaced the mercury). Doctors may not be happy about this but you should be able to do it. A delayed schedule, basically you do one shot a month instead of several at a time. However, you might also consider not vaxing her at allor vaxing selectively - read up on what is most important, etc. There is so much reading out there...no clear answers. Good luck, it's a tough call. Stroyan www.empathic-discipline.com Click here to email me directly: <mailto:lstroyan@...>lstroyan@...

She needs to look at the package insert, because although they are not manufacturing new childhood vaccines (flu shot is an exception I believe) with mercury, they are " using up " the supply from before (makes no sense to me!). Also people here have mentioned that they replace it with aluminum compounds which may be just as bad or worse. Guest guest
I would not say there are red flags all the time. My daughter who has mercury poisoning is not autistic and has no learning disorders. Her symptoms very slowly appeared as she got older and minimal exposures added to her mercury burden. The symptoms can be very slight if the amount is minimal or they may not appear until later on. If this is a serious concern it might be worth spending $45 with a script or $95 without on a hair test to rule it out. At least you will sleep at night and not worry that she has it anymore. Some symptoms to watch for however may be developmental delays, fussing a lot, not sleeping, digestive problems, rashes, irritability, diahrrea, or constipation, hyperactivity, and a lot more. For my daughter, she was a fussy infant, pretty happy toddler, all her developmental milestones were ahead of schedule, very intelligent, by the age of three we started to notice that she was getting moody and this progressed to where it looked like she had bipolar at age 7. She has always had intolerance to dairy products, an excema like rash that never went away. She did have oral thrush a few times as a baby. She had yeast infections, urinary tract infection as a preschooler, frequent urination, complained of vision problems in elementary school. And her behavior just kept deteriorating. She would have been given ADD medication or mood medication for her temperament if I had not checked her hair. So for us there were no really obvious symptoms. The infant thrush, colic, etc. were all deemed normal by the doctor. But these did occur around the same time as receiving mercury vaccines. The real trouble showed up later on though. Developmentally she looks normal by any doctor standard. My flag was her being moody, having social troubles in school, depression, disagreeable, things that showed after age 3. You can check on " Pink's Disease " . This was baby mercury poisoning years back. But in higher doses so the symptoms may be more obvious. With your baby who did not recieve mercury vaccines but recieved it in utero..there may not be an obvious symptoms. But carrying mercury eventually will disrupt adrenal function and thyroid function as she gets older. That is when you see problems. I wish it were easier to tell. > > > > Katrina, > > > > Does she have symptoms of mercury poisoning? > > > > Barb > > [ ] Need help for 6 month old > > > > > > Hi everyone! Guest guest
I completely agree with what Jan has said. My experience with my 5 year old, neurotypical (non-autistic) daughter has been the same. There is no way she would qualify for any diagnosis, and in some ways she is very gifted. However, the symptoms have been very slowly accumulating... some troubling things like obsessive behaviour (not EVER letting anyone sing her the Happy Bithday song, for example), moodiness and extreme shyness, gagging for no discernable reason, odd scalp/body odour, very " scattered " scribbly drawings, given her age (this one comes and goes, much as her autistic brother's language comes and goes), poor physical coordination, etc. Things that are troubling but don't seem related, things that you can barely put your finger on until you've been around autism for a while and are familiar with the subtleties. I got a hair test for her this spring and it was just horrendous. René > > I would not say there are red flags all the time. Guest guest
Chiming in that I'm a chelating adult, and I'm chelating my 2 NT kids, ages 10 and 8. We started on this journey because my youngest was an explosive moody toddler, then preschooler, and....didn't outgrow it. Listmate Nell nudged me to try digestive enzymes with my youngest, and voila---Happy Child Effect. (See DeFelice's book or www.enyzmestuff.com). With my dd, it was all behavior and mood and general disposition. No learning disabilities and nothing even remotely close to Aspergers or Autism. I think this kept me from " seeing " the big picture connection (mercury poisoning) because I kept thinking, what in the world does autism have to do with us? After a year on enzymes, we finally did hair tests, all met the counting rules and are chelating (round 31, Andy's protocol). Lots of positives, and I feel incredibly lucky to have stumbled down this path. It was a fluke, really. A big part of why we're chelating is to prevent a health crisis down the road somewhere. in Illinois
Guest guest
Yes, they are identical to autism, but there is a 2-month delay after vaccines containing mercury in many kids. Remember, the fact that she is a girl is a huge plus in her favor. Estrogen seems to protect our girls from a lot of the damage, while testosterone and thimerosal seems to have this deadly synergy. My 5 yo daughter is also very gifted, but has little strange things (different ones from your daughter, Rene, except for slow fine/gross motor) that I'd never have connected to Hg if I hadn't BTDT with her brother and gotten her hair tested. Horrendous also. I'm finding with chelation that she's opening up in some way I can't describe. Like she's getting access to parts of herself that were blocked before. Guest guest
Sounds like your child is doing very well. That is very nice to see. The most obvious " red flag " I would avoid is the one where your Doctor says " Time for your child's Vaccination " ! Are the symptoms the same as autism? She is alert, smiling, laughing, cooing, loves to be held, no sleep problems, or allergies. We are working on sitting up right now. Are there " red flag " signs that I need to be watching out for? Katrina > > Katrina, > > Does she have symptoms of mercury poisoning? > > Barb > [ ] Need help for 6 month old > > > Hi everyone!
