Guest guest
Hi to all who replied... what a scary few hours I've had. After I wrote about the kidney pain I got nauseas and shakey so I searched the archives of another group and found a note about acid urine and the ability of cadmium to be dumped in the kidneys with acid urine. I tested and my urine was acidic, so I took some bicarb while having a bout of hysteria, during which I rang my naturopath friend who said STOP the DMSA for now. The bicarb mustve kicked in coz I calmed down and feel alright now, albeit a little sore around my lower back and still having little rushes of teary sadness and deranged thoughts. It has confirmed that metals are a bit of a big issue for me, something I wasn't convinced of coz my hair test showed them as being low. Seeing as I have MCS, it's reasonable to assume I'm a poor excreter of toxins and now I think my suspicion that metals have caused havoc with my liver detox pathways has been confirmed without doubt if a small dose of DMSA can cause such a stir. I had the last of my amalgams removed two weeks ago. The dosage was 5mg every four hours round the clock, I was planning three days on, three days off but I'm going to chill out for a bit longer before I start again. I'll check out the flank pain coz I can't be sure if it was kidney pain, coz it was my lower back. It's what used to hurt a lot the days after I took drugs when I was a speed junky so I kinda assumed, but I read that kidneys are a bit higher on your body. My ache is definitely lower back. I started on the Milk thistle two weeks ago, had pretty extreme fogginess/forgetfulness on 1mL/day (2:1, I think, mix tincture) which I was mistakenly taking at night, as I found out today. So the plan for now is to forget the DMSA until I can tolerate 1mL milk thistle per day in split doses- another mistake I was making (after working up from one drop three times a day) while doing saunas regularly. Footsies had a similar reaction for me...everything just recirculates in my body, can't get out, so I might do them once a week. THEN try the DMSA again, but 5mg per day. Such a sensmo I am and imaptient to get clean. Oh well, at least now I know what's been my trouble all these years. Thanks, Kelle > > > > HI all, I have only had 2 doses of DMSA today as my first day of chelation > > and my kidneys are hurting. I am drinking plenty of water. Guest guest
kelle, I don't have the energy to read back through this entire thread... but did you have a baseline CBC/Metabolic Panel run prior to beginning chelation? Some bloodwork to check your kidney and liver function? I would do that. Can Naturopaths function like MDs in your state? Write prescriptions, draw blood and such? Guest guest
Kelle, Have you tried a sauna for detox? Perhaps NCD might be milder for you.
