Guest guest
Metal fillings and caps/braces are sources of nickel. Anything stainless steel. And you should chelate her as well. Nickel is toxic too. Tin and silver are also components of metal fillings, and solder used on copper pipes in houses prior to 1982. >
Latest hair analysis show my son (ASD) 5.5 lead, also high arsenic,
> aluminium you name it, its high except mercury which is weird as it
> pours out in the urine under challenges. However, exposure is ubiquitous. Some symptoms more characteristic of these may help determine whether they are involved, or are the primary toxin. " So what Andy is saying is that the Nickel itself usually isn't the problem - its often just a marker for mercury poisoning. > its high except mercury which is weird as it > pours out in the urine under challenges. On the subject of mercury Andy says (p178): " Mercury intoxication is possible even at very low hair MERCURY levels. Reasonably high silver, tin and nickel confirm that amalgam is the mercury source. " Basically the whole point of the counting rules is that mercury poisoning doesn't usually show up as high hair mercury. It actually shows up as *low* mercury combined with deranged minerals (the reason for this is because mercury inhibits its own and other minerals transport). I'll email the test to you now and would you mind putting it with the others please? Much obliged. Guest guest
Ok Sue I've uploaded andra's hair test here: http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r265/Chelation/.jpg You are right, the Nickel is off the scale. At least she has normal mineral transport, so no major mercury problems. Comments from others are most welcome. . " sue_lwsn " <sue@...> wrote: > > Thanks so much again ! You are a great help to us. Guest guest
Thanks . I have never had any amalgams and neither has andra. The urine metal challenge has just come in and she has seriously elevated lead at 28!! I know it can be hit and miss with challenges but my son has been regularly challenge tested over the past few years with lead never more than 13. I will chelate her in the same way as we are doing the Cutler protocol with because whatever metal really is creating a problem none of it should be there in the first place so we'll be doing the best thing for her, as we are doing for her brother. Not much suprises me anymore, but this has. They said at parents evening she has been lacking drive and focus in the classroom. I'm not bloody suprised!! Guest guest
Sue, Our daughter also had elevated nickel and chromium - neither was as high as your child's and she also coulnted out toxic for mercury toxicity at the same time. In trying to find the source I asked the orthodontist just what was in those stainless steel appliances that she'd worn for years-spacer bars, braces, retainer. They had 9+% nickel and almost 20% chromium. I would bet the stainless steel caps have similar content. These 2 were one of the first to come down with chelation for our daughter. Just a thought.... > > > > > Latest hair analysis show my son (ASD) 5.5 lead, also high > > > arsenic, > > > > > aluminium you name it > > > > > > > > If anyone wants to take a look at that test it is here: > > > > http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r265/Chelation/.jpg > > > > > > > > Sue, > > > > In Amalgam Illness (p29) Andy says: > > > > " Nickel is usually elevated in hair samples from amalgam > illness > > > > victims but does not appear to be a toxin in most of them. > However, > > > > exposure is ubiquitous. Guest guest
-Thanks , is your daughter free of the metal toxicity now or is it a work in progress? I am glad you told me about the braces as my daughter's teeth will need dental work to straighten them in the next few years and I will need to take advice on this. One thing is for sure- no Hg! I used to wear a brace as a child but has so far not had anything done to her teeth. Many thanks, Sue -- In , " mbrookh " <mbrookh@...> wrote: > > Sue, > Our daughter also had elevated nickel and chromium - neither was as > high as your child's and she also coulnted out toxic for mercury > toxicity at the same time. Guest guest
Sue, She may not meet the counting rules, but mercury and lead do not belong in the human body and any is too much. S S t
Ok Sue I've uploaded andra's hair test here:

http://i146.<w\ br>photobucket.com/albums/r265/Chelation/.jpg

You are right, the Nickel is off the scale. At least she has normal
mineral transport, so no major mercury problems.

Comments from others are most welcome.

.
_______________________________________________ Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com The most personalized portal on the Web!
