Guest guest
Just to let you know, althought the epsom salts worked really well for many people, they did not for my son. Increased almost all stimming behaviors, hyperactivity and trouble sleeping. Because my son is sensitive to many supplements, i add only one at a time and go for a few weeks without adding anything else new. Since his food is fixed on what he will eat, i am confident that most of the time the varibale is the new supplement or treatment. You can try removing all, and then adding them back one after the other to be more sure of what might be the trigger. Becasue i think it varies a lot from child to child. -john Mommy Boy <mommy.boy@...> wrote: Hi all, My son started flitting his hands (fingers hitting the sofa or table) which is driving me nuts. His general dicomfiture, the flitting and assorted hand movements have increased after I started him on Acidophilus. Epsom salt baths and two small doses of activated charcoal somewhat helped. The hyper/stim stuff is gradually coming down but is still there. Stress and boredom aggravate the behaviors. Is this spike in behaviors that I thought were in the past due to yeast? Does it sound like yeast? Why now, after giving Acidophilus? We don't have any tests yet. What can I do to help determine if it is yeast (other than tests- we are going through the hoops for that). Thank you,
Guest guest
Most probiotics are dairy-based. Consider using a non-dairy one. Guest guest
I was worried about that- we are on a Casein Free diet. The probiotics I have are from American Health and it says " Milk Free " . Is it possible that it is not totally casein free? Can anyone suggest a fool proof casein free probiotic - maybe from Kirkman? If so, reduce the dose and add magnesium. >>His general dicomfiture, the flitting and assorted hand > movements have increased after I started him on Acidophilus. Might be yeast die off, especially if giving charcoal helps. He might also not tolerate the acidophilus. >>What can I do to help determine if it is yeast (other than > tests- we are going through the hoops for that).
