Guest guest Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 We have been using nystatin for about 4 months, and I have used threelac, but threelac causes direaha really bad. Should I try GSE? I found out the hard way that SNT from kirkmans effects him horribly. I put him on a multi vitamin called vibe by eniva and that makes him a little hyper. I got some peptide enzymnes from houstan and give him a zyme prime also with every meal. Am I supposed to do the yeast treatment during the chelation rounds? Should I try GSE? Thanks Dana > > We are on week 12 of oral dmsa/ala chelation. We do 4 days on and 3 > > off, for 3 weeks than 11 days off. I am putting the dmsa/ala in my > > sons drink as he does not take capsules. Guest guest Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 We have been using nystatin for 4 months, this is also put into a drink. I have no phenol enzymes I use with the zyme prime with every meal. I found out SNT was causing some hyperness, so I am using vibe by Eniva, it also cause some hyperness, but I need a mulit vitamin for him. Any suggestions? Also for yeast we have used threelac but it gives him direaha. Should I try GSE? His doctor says he has an intolerence for vita b6, which is hard to avoid in a multi. Any suggestions, sorry for the rambling, I get litlle or no sleep lol. Thanks > > We are on week 12 of oral dmsa/ala chelation. We do 4 days on and 3 > > off, for 3 weeks than 11 days off. Guest guest Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 Ok I am having horrible problems with this page today. So if this is a repost I am sorry. Hair test showed high aresenic, mercury, and aluminum. His diet is dairy free with limited gluten and enzymes. We give him 37 mg every 2.5 hours, but this is in a drink so when he finishes maybe a little time altered. He weighs 65 lbs. The doctor just told us to do 50 mg three times a day. Guest guest Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 For us it seems that the dmsa makes them sleep less. I have noticed this with both kids and when taking it myself. Either I can't fall asleep at all or I can't stay asleep. We have been using melatonin and now we all sleep. I find for myself that I only need it for about four nights after stopping dmsa. My daughter needs it continually, and my son needs it most nights. He is 40 pounds and I give him 1/4 of a 1mg tablet around 8pm..and we don't see him until 7-8am. The dmsa does seem to make him a bit more hyper, I say a bit because he is hyper anyway. I am not sure if it is from yeast during dsma, or the dmsa itself. But some of the hyper is lessened when we give him melatonin and he has gotten a good nights sleep. It might buy you a few nights sleep as well so you can regain the " thinking clearly " mode. Mixing it into his drinks will not dilute the effectiveness. Transdermal dosing is a bit more tricky as it is not known exactly the amount that is absorbed..this may be why the doc is reluctant to give you this. It also can have a bad odor. Oral dosing is more relible if your child can tolerate it. Have you eliminated all sources of foods that might make him hyper such as food coloring/additives? (probably, but just a thought). More likely yeast has something to do with this. We just prepare ourselves that " he is on a round and going to be bouncing around all day " then we let him bounce and run him at the playground. I have not tried anything else for the hyperness during the day, but you could look into chamomile, something calming. > > We are on week 12 of oral dmsa/ala chelation. What could be happening is that yeast is masking improvements. When my son is up in the middle of the night it is yeast. What kind of yeast protocol have you got going? Nell Quote

Guest guest Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 Hi Mandy, Good that you didn't follow the docs dosing schedule. Consider lowering your dose. Andy recommends 1/8-1/2 mg per lb. That would be about 6-33 mg. What's your yeast protocol? Does he eats lots of carbs? Which supplements does he take? Have you identified and reduced/removed sources of exposure to mercury, arsenic, and aluminum? S S
Ok I am having horrible problems with this page today. So if this
is a repost I am sorry.
