Guest guest Posted June 26, 2006 Report Posted June 26, 2006 We have been chelating my son (who has autism) since Sept.05 with good results, although we are seeing some regression that has been talked about in other threads. My question is, has anyone seen good benefits of chelating a child with ADHD? According to the blood workup our daughter met the markers for heavy metals, and we know she had a reaction to her 9 month vaccines because she ended up in the hospital. I do believe that in theory it should work but I am nervous that I am pinning to much hope on it. Are there any studies on chelation and ADHD? Any help would be appreciated. Quote
Guest guest Posted June 26, 2006 Report Posted June 26, 2006 Consider doing a DDI hair test and applying the counting rules to see which toxic metals your daughter has. Regardless of a diagnosis of ADHD, toxic metals should be removed to avoid Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, etc., down the line. Some of us with no (official) diagnosis have or are chelating. Guest guest Posted June 26, 2006 Report Posted June 26, 2006 My sister is chelating her 6 year old ADHD daughter and already seeing great results after only 3 rounds. Guest guest Posted June 27, 2006 Report Posted June 27, 2006 > My sister is chelating her 6 year old ADHD daughter and already seeing > great results after only 3 rounds. Vicki The ADHD children I have heard results for all did wonderfully - the less toxic the kids are the easier they are to chelate. About 25% of grade schoolers right now have identifiable learning issues, and of course there is the big epidemic of asthma and allergies. Most of this is mercury.. Part of this tragic AMA holocaust is that it is really mostly the parents of the most impaired children who seek alternative treatments, yet the other kids who would respond promptly and fully to chelation are not helped and tanked up on speed (with very predictable negative results). Most of this is mercury.. Regarding the above statement: Would you think that a 17yr old who only developed allergies in the past 2 years might be mercury toxic? (His brother has autism and is responding nicely to chelation)...is it something that could develop that slowly ? He is NT in all respects. And would the protocol be the same for someone " less " toxic ? Cheryl Quote
Guest guest Posted June 27, 2006 Report Posted June 27, 2006 -Cheryl, Yes same thing happened here with my NT now almost 16 year old daughter. we ran some genetics on her and they are exactly the same as my sons, she just crashed at an older age, allergies, energy issues, feeling like crap.Happened after junior high hep B series and DPT shot. Started DAN stuff on her 2 years ago, 6 months later she said she forgot what it was like to feel good. We did not chelate her, just supporting her genetics to detox on her own, via Yasko protocol now. she is doing well. Guest guest Posted June 27, 2006 Report Posted June 27, 2006 How many vaccines and mercury amalgam dental fillings has he had lately? No tattoos, I hope (most of the contain toxic metals). Yes, he could be toxic, for some it takes a while to manifest. Get a DDI hair elements test and apply counting rules to see what you are dealing with. Guest guest Posted June 27, 2006 Report Posted June 27, 2006 I have a friend who has a child with ADHD and dsylexia and they have him in a high class, high dollar private school. I talked to his mom a little about the diet and chelation. I don't know if anything will come of it but hopefully... I've often thought about chelating my daughter who is 3 because she had her shots up until 6 months of age. Because she is VERY hyperactive and if she were in school, i'm sure they would say she's ADHD and needs to be on medication. But then there's the possibility that she could just be bored. > > > My sister is chelating her 6 year old ADHD daughter and already seeing > > great results after only 3 rounds. Guest guest Posted June 28, 2006 Report Posted June 28, 2006 He has had no vaccines in 12 years, had all prior to that... he has no tattoos, he has no amalgams. He has no learning problems at all, allergies is the only problem. The doctor says there was a possibility he was developing asthma the last visit.... You could get her hair tested. I'm chelating my younger daughter even though her only symptom is occasional yeast, because her hair test met a counting rule. Nell Quote

Great that he is responding! >>is it something that could develop > that slowly ? He is NT in all respects. Or might be a recent exposure that is not related to any vaccinations. Or might be a recent medical issue that was resolved, but the resolution caused other issues to surface, which had been low-lying previously. > And would the protocol be the same for someone " less " toxic ? I chelated all four of my kids with ALA. I used basically the same protocol, altho I adjusted the dose based on the child's age and weight. Dana Quote
Guest guest Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 My 4 y.o. HFA son was given rice with cilantro at a restaurant last year. He is gentle, but almost immediately stood up and started throwing rice at me giggling hysterically. When I learned that cilantro is a chelator AND/OR could have high levels of merc because it attracts it, I started thinking about those stories of a child or adult who is mild but suddenly goes nuts. I thought " what if we recover this child but don't fully chelate him and he ends up at a party at the age of say, 16, and gets a dish with cilantro and goes nuts, throws things, gets arrested. . . " it actually made we wonder a lot about these ADHD children and impulsivity, as well as violence. I wonder what other foods are out there that could set off a poisoned child. _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of andrewhallcutler Sent: Tuesday, June 27, 2006 12:10 AM Subject: [ ] Re: ADHD and chelation > My sister is chelating her 6 year old ADHD daughter and already seeing > great results after only 3 rounds. Guest guest Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 http://www.inspection.gc.ca/english/fssa/labeti/allerg/sulphe.shtml Scroll down and check out the rice part...The rice your son received may have contained sulphites. An excess of circulating sulphites which have not been converted to sulphate will cleave B1 (thiamine) and result in neurological symptoms. IME most restaurants in the US (that you could take young children to) use nasty ingredients in their cooking. Nell Quote
