MS is an unpredictable disease and not enough is known about LDN. We

are our own best doctors and must experiment to see what works best.

It could be you are having a slight increase in symptoms due to the

LDN working as it should and maybe just have to ride this out.

If the leg twitching is unbearable I would try lowering the dosage

and see if that helps. On Dr. Gluck's website it says this:

" People who have multiple sclerosis that has led to muscle spasms are

advised to use only 3mg daily and to maintain that dosage. "

http://www.low dose naltrexone.org/index.htm#What_is_low_dose_naltrexone

so maybe this is what's happening in your case.

It could be too you are having a minor exacerbation and may want to

look into Dr. Lawerence's protocol of what to do if you think you

need steroids. Let us know if we should post this info again and we

will.

Are you following any special diet such as no gluten/casein/soy/red

meat/sugar? Taking DLPA? Checked yourself for candida yeast overload?

Think your infected with a virus infection? I would go to 's

site, spend some time there reading all the things she has for self-

help.

a month now. I upped my LDN from 3 mg to 4.5 two weeks prior to this

starting. Could this be related and should not the twitching have

stopped by now if it's related to my increasing the dosage?? Went to

my PCP yesterday and he checked me out pretty well. Ran some routine

blood work, but couldn't find any reason for this. Ever come across

anything like this before? Should I go back down to 3 mg and if so,

how long until my leg behaves (assuming it's the dosage increase).

THIS IS STARTING TO DRIVE ME

CRAZY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

About 2 months after starting LDN at the full 4.5mg my arm muscles and

eyelid twitched what seemed like an eternity, a good 6 months or more,

sometimes they'd alternate and sometimes I'd go a week with no

twitching, then one day it al stopped and only happens every once in a

blue moon now.

Can anyone tell me if they experienced headaches/migranes while taking LDN? I just started 5 days ago at 1.5 for MS and I have woken up with a migrane. Otherwise I have not had vivid dreams or problems with sleep. I do go to bed late though, since I usually don't sleep before 2 pm, I take LDN around mignight. I have always gone to sleep late, whether I get up at 8 or 10. I also noticed stiffness the first 2 days and more lethargy than usual. I've been reading from all of you that this passes but the migranes upset me - to get rid of a migrane I have to take an Imitrex shot.

I'm new here and thanks to all! Miki

Miki,

I haven't had migraines from ldn, but it could be the filler used to

make your ldn. Are you using ldn tablets or using liquid?

Never attributed headaches to using LDN, but going to bed at a decent

hour is important for someone with MS, or any disease. You aren't

getting enough sleep, in my opinion. Body needs quality rest to

recover from the day.

I'm using tablets, sent to me by Skip's Pharmacy. If it doesn't get better, I'll have to ask them about the filler.

thanks, Miki
