I had an boyfriend who now i can say is a very distant ex! I threw him out last August. Because He caused a huge meltdown with myson and then called the police on him. and now im finding out that they are proceeding with filing criminal charges against my autistic son. I have requested the police report and a copy of the complaint that was filed .Still waiting for that. I ve gotten as much documentation as i can to prove his disability. Nobody was injured least of all this grown man! It was a nightmare then and obviously it continues on. I just cant believe in this day and age with all the information on Autism. That they feel they have sufficient evidence to file such a charge against a child with Autism. The frightening part is my son will be 18 soon. and my fear is that these uneducated people will try and prosecute him due to his legal age. I just dont know wht to do ... Im just beside myself. My son is my world and I do everything for him. Yes. I do admit i made a big mistake getting involved with someone like him. But thats water under the bridge now.
