SweetsHello! I am so glad to have found this group! I didn't now you existed

until today! Anyway . . . I have just recently (in the last week or two)

started my son on enzymes (he is 3, has ASD, is GFCF). He is currently taking

calcium, magnesium, cod liver oil, probiotics, vitamin C, vit b-12 tabs, and

now, enzymes. I am using Kirkmans Enzyme Complete, as I understand it has both

carb enzymes as well as protein enzymes, all in one. The first day I gave them

to him, he had a NORMAL BM within HOURS!! I was elated!! He has been

chronically constipated for the past 2 years, and nothing we have tried

(medically/alternative) has worked yet---until now! Well, now in the last day

or so, I noticed that his stools are getting very loose. This is the only thing

we have changed in his diet, and I'm wondering if I'm giving him too much at one

time? I've worked up to approx 1 capsule per meal. He has had wonderful BM's

and now loose stools, both with the 1capsule per meal regimen. Should I cut

back and see what happens? I just DREAD going back to having to give him an

enema again, and am afraid to chance it. I figure a loose stool is better than

NO stool---the lesser of two evils, I guess. Any suggestions?? Also, any other

supplements you feel would be a " must " based on what I'm giving him? I've been

thinking zinc, since I've heard so much about it. Haven't started a multi

vitamin yet--want to get the enzymes working first. One thing at a time,

slowly. Thanks . . .
