Guest guest
Hi everyone, Lots of BM talk so skip if you're sick of it. I just followed the red anus, red bottom thread with great interest. My daughter's current situation is no bm for 3-4 days, and then 1-2 days of little tiny smears (she struggles a lot with these and I think she is trying not to poop in spite of our many discussions about how healthy and good it is) then finally, the Great poop. Formed and STINKY (bacteria). We are eating lots of vegetables, one piece of fruit (pear or banana) and meat. Reintroed fruit about 2 weeks ago. We're trying SCD. Now she is getting the red burn like rash when she poops (trying to figure out if it's the fruit or one of the many new veggies we're eating). Bad because then she doesn't want to even more. I am using Ionic magnesium to try and get her to have regular BMs. Didn't tolerate C for this purpose. Have tried epsom salt solution, orally once (made her go within 6 hours) but am concerned about relying on this or any other remedy which may cause dependence. Also am working up Primal defense (seems to be tolerating fine--don't think this would cause red rash?) I know yeast is an issue because of behavior--OCD stuff , major pestering. I'm thinking encropesis but she's only 2 3/4-- is this possible? I'm going to try the GSE, O of O and OLE rotation. I know about all the things I can do to get her going every day but would like some advice or insight about what to try--she drinks a lot of water and breastfeeds (I'm on her diet,...) so I don't think it's a fluid issue. I'm so " frusterated " (as she says) Thanks,
Guest guest
Having a non-autistic yet emotionally tortured 8 yr old with serious yeast issues I believe to be systemic, I have to say this all sounds like yeast to me. Once you get over the concept of BM's being gross, the discussion becomes enlightening because it can tell you so much that maybe children or tests can't. 6 months into a no-yeast feeding diet and being fairly consist, I gave her a sliver of an apple the other day which created an issue. So if it's yeast, fruit could still totally be a problem. How long had you been fruit free? You mentioned introducing the fruits 2 weeks ago, did you notice a change with it? My daughter had constipation issues, but her's were every day yet ball like. Mag. is my daughter's magic no-constipation bullet. I believe what mentioned is correct in that if magnesium turns out to be a laxative then it's not being absorbed, which is consist with 's hair test which showed her off the chart. However for us I guess then I am using magnesium for that purpose, and it works. Seeing a DAN! doctor who is also a doctor into the concept of mega vitamin C for so many things, we are using it a lot too. takes about 10K a day, but that alone without the magnesium will not alleviate the constipation. What do you mean by she didn't tolerate vitamin C? Red burn rash when she poops though sounds like she is having die off, and/or eliminating toxins which is probably a good sign. Just need to get it all out at least once a day. Before embracing this yeast problem, used to eat 4-5 fruits/vegetables a day and only drank water yet was always constipated. Knowing what I know now, that alone shows there is/was a clear problem going on. I've seen though many with yeast issues can tolerate a little fruit though. Might just want to see what happens if you pull it. Good luck, Kari constipation problem:yeast, bact. and food sensitivities Hi everyone, Lots of BM talk so skip if you're sick of it. Not necessarily bacteria. The stinky part seems like bacteria, but the size seems like perhaps yeast. I get " the Great poop " with evening primrose oil. Nasty stuff for us. > We are eating lots of vegetables, one piece of fruit (pear or > banana) and meat. Banana can do this. Reintroed fruit about 2 weeks ago. We're > trying SCD. For my kids, red burn rash was eating orange and green foods, even with enzymes. Try removing everything orange and green [including corn, herbs, and most red foods like strawberries]. Guest guest
, For problems with phenolic fruits and vegetables and/or constipation, something like No-fenol might help. Start with a low dose (1/2 cap once a day) and work up slowly. > Hi everyone, > Lots of BM talk so skip if you're sick of it. > I just followed the red anus, red bottom thread with great interest. > My daughter's current situation is no bm for 3-4 days, and then > 1-2 days of little tiny smears (she struggles a lot with these and I > think she is trying not to poop in spite of our many discussions > about how healthy and good it is) then finally, the Great poop. > Formed and STINKY (bacteria). > We are eating lots of vegetables, one piece of fruit (pear or > banana) and meat.
