We started AFP at 1/4 cap 1 meal for several days, then added 1/4 cap

to another meal. Slowly progressed to each meal then started

increasing the dosage-yes we went really slow. We experienced a lot

of gassiness for a couple days and many extra wet diapers. I don't

have any experience with phenols

Best Wishes!

Sounds like your son could have environmental allergies. Molds,

formaldehyde, or even the smell of school supplies like markers and

paints can give some children behavioral problems. Does he do better

on breaks from school, like weekends or long holidays? Many

children with food intolerances also have environmental issues that

don't show up as the typical watery eyes and runny nose but show up

in their behavior.

Have you read Doris Rapp's book " Is This Your Child " or her new

one " Is This Your Child's World " ? There different types of testing

you can do to find out if your son does have environmental allergies

but I do not recommend going to a traditional allergest because they

test for IGe type response and many children that act out

behaviorally don't test positive with that type of testing.

Do you follow the Feingold diet by eliminating artificials and

preservatives? Of all the things we have done for my daughter,

joining Feingold was the best choice for the money. The membership

is $69.00 plus shipping. For amount of money we spend on supplements

and doctors, the $69.00 is a small fee. We have found that everyone

in our family benefits in some way by following Feingold. My

husband who had cronic headaches and believed the were caused by

small sinus passageways(dr. told him this) no longer gets headaches.

Sorry, I'm not advertising for them but I could go on and on how it

helped my family.

To jump on here, fluorescent lights trigger these sorts of outbursts from my

son. We have to eliminate fluorescent lighting in the kitchen and replace

with recessed lights so that I don't get migraines when I cook. Has to do

with the eyes for us. Schools are notorious for their fluorescent lighting.

hyper at one particular grocery store and I always think there must

be sometihng in the lighting or sometihng there that does that to

him!
