Yep, we have this problem but giving Candex/Candigest near food means you'd

be wasting your $.

What I do and you could try, is give it while he is asleep, just before I go

to bed and I make up a small amount of juice/water in a sprts bottle and

leave it in his rom and he drinks that as soon as he wakes. He stays in his room

until I go in so he can;t access food at this time unless of course he

stashed some crackers somewhere LOL.

I chelate and do night dosing so this is isn;t a problem for us. When we

started out I would kiss him and nuzzle close and say quietly, I need you to

drink your medicine, touch his lips and slot the lidded cup/sports bottle in. He

will take it no problem, does not wake up and settles again straight away.

You might have to practise for a week or two but most accept this fine when

they get used to it..

Is he verba;? Will he understand if you tell him before bed what is

happening? I sure he'll get used to it if it becomes routine. We do this with

probiotics (CP1 which is an empty stomach type one) when we don't need the

Candex to

keep up the routine.

Its is a useful 'skill' to have :)

I'm thinking about trying Candex with my DS for lingering yeast. The

directions say 2 caps 1 hr before breakfast and 2 at bedtime, at

least 2 hrs after eating. Always on an empty stomach. So here's the

problem - I don't think there's ever a 2 hr period during the whole

day that my son has an empty stomach! And breakfast is the first

thing he wants in the morning. Does anyone else using Candex have

this problem and can it still be used effectively?

Mixed in liquid is fine :)

Thanks for the suggestion - that might work. We chelate also, so on

round weekends it really wouldn't be a big deal. Can the candex be

mixed with the liquid or does it need to be swallowed in the capsules?

I have always given it first thing in the morning, and my daughter

eats right after that, and I also give it right before dinner. It

works fine that way for us.--Tod
