Um, two entirely different things. Biocidin is an herbal tincture, of a

bunch of good herbs known to help kill off bad bacteria, yeast and

parasites. Very potent.

Biocidin Ingredients: Vegetable glycerine, Distilled water, Beet root,

Raspberry, Milk thistle, Echinacea angustifolia and purpurea, Black walnut

leaf and hull, Noni Fruit, Goldenseal, Shitake, White willow bark, Garlic,

Plantain, Fumitory, Gentian, Tea tree oil, Galbanum resin, Lavender oil,

and Oregano oil.

Lauricidin is lauric acid, a fatty acid from coconut, that is intended to

help with viruses and bacteria and fungal things. According to one

website, it's " a monoester of lauric acid (a fatty acid) in a base of

inosine 7.5 mg and Calcium (phosphate) 106 mg " . Here's some more info I

found about it:

" Coconut oil has a highly purified mono-glyceride known as Lauricidin. This

mono glyceride has found use in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and in clinical

medicine. Mono lauricidin as a dietary supplement has shown extraordinary

and exciting results as an antibiotic and an anti viral agent. The latter

property against lipid coated viruses was first demonstrated by Hierholzer

and Kabara more than sixteen years ago.

" Lauricidin® (monolaurin) is one of the most important fats found in

mother's milk and partially responsible for the milk's antibacterial,

antifungal and antiviral properties. "

Sometimes brands of GSe are referred to as Biocidin. The herbal Biocidin we

are takling about is from

It is good for sorting yeast, bacteria and parasites (for these, if given

long enough ie 3 months) which makes it a goo dchoice if you have more than one

problem, which mots do at least when starting out on treatments.

Your DAn is mistaken or we are takling two different products IMHO

As per my DAN doctor Biocidin is only for bad bacteria like

citrobacter, Klebsiella(sp?), so using it may cause yeast to flare up.

Please use something for yeast when using Biocidin.

Biocidin caused enormous chewing on anything for us, when we were not

giving with an antiyeast med.

We always give Biocidin FOR yeast. We have always been told that it

works for both yeast and bacteria. I wonder if you were seeing die-

off? Anyway, just my two cents.

I'm not sure it's fair to describe Biocidin as simply

" antibacterial " . I've found it useful to understand something about the

ingredients, because it's a very versatile and useful mixture, in my

opinion. Here are some websites to tell more about why I described it as

: " an herbal tincture, of a bunch of good herbs known to help kill off bad

bacteria, yeast and parasites. " I would disagree with those who said it

might cause a yeast flare up. Oregano oil is a great yeast fighter. Black

walnut and Noni also have antifungal properties. All three of these are in

Biocidin. Read up on the herbs in it and you'll see how multi-faceted they

are. My only concern about it is that it may be a little too strong for

some young/very sensitive children. For my own son, it's one of my very

*favorite* tools to fight yeast, parasites, bacteria and all that bad stuff!
