,

I don't know that much about cat scans. So it's pretty useless?

They did the cat scan on him today and said they think his

intestines wrapping up inside themselves. They transferred him to

another hospital that specializes in pediatrics are planning surgery

tomorrow.

I don't know all the details yet.

I am thinking more and more this was caused by the vaccines along

with nubulizing him daily for I don't know how long.

Thanks ,

they just run from one symptom to another spending heaps of dollars

and ensuring they get nice holidays in hawaii..........

why have any interest in fixing things when they do so well this way

people might respsond better to this notion of being a mug than the

ongoing iatogenic trauma for their children.

once you get gi operations then things become hopeless

Sounds like intussusception... but I hope that if they are going to

put him under the knife, that they more than just " think he has

it " ... they had better darn well KNOW he has it. Poor thing! I

don't know if they've been doing rotavirus vax again or not... in the

past, some kids developed this FROM their vax. That's why it was

pulled off the market. I know there was talk about reintroducing the

vax...could be that he had the vax... who knows.

Here's just one link on intussusception and you can google more for

more info. Would be nice to try doing another enema again before

doing the operation but there's probably no stopping it at this

point. That's the unfortunate domino effect of " tests " ...

I don't think the nebulizing did it though, really. If anything, it

could be related to his possible cystic fibrosis issues, having SOOO

much stool jammed back up in there probably weakened the GI tract and

contributed to this, too.

Hmmm... wish I had found this last night-- when intussusception

occurs in CF kids, it can sometimes be considered " transient " and

this paragraph encourages them to relieve it non-surgically when

possible.

Intussusception is a further complication, the thickened bowel acting

as a lead point. Transient intussusception, ileo- ileal, is a common

finding on sonography in children with cystic fibrosis with abdominal

pain. The ultrasonic features of intussusception are similar to those

with idiopathic intussusception. Attempts should be made to reduce

the intussusception nonoperatively.
