Guest guest
I have to ask: WHAT are you using these very potent and toxic pharmaceuticals for, I wonder?!? I've been reading about flagyl mostly and the list of possible side effects are pretty scary. The behavior caused by this c. diff. is also scary. I'm probably going to try flagyl and diflucan. I'm lining up (no pun intended) several probiotics to rotate also. My question right now is do you give enzymes with the doses of these prescriptions like you would GSE and O of O,... Guest guest
I got rid of my son's Clostridia with Cultrelle, Primal Defense, FloraJen and Lauricidin...no Flagyl needed! and others--flagyl and diflucan and enzymes Hi, I've been reading about flagyl mostly and the list of possible side effects are pretty scary. Guest guest
We did not dose the enzymes at the same time as the med. for that purpose. The timing was coincidental. What I mean is, these two drugs in particular are so potent, that you are advised to give to small children with a full stomach, sooo, you give enzymes with the meal, and then immediately following the meal, you dose the prescription. So everything is in there at the same time. The proteases help to break down the outer coatings of these nasties I believe, so the enzymes help the med. to be more effective. Dr. Megson actually agreed with me when I asked if it was reasonable to double dose the enzymes. Anyway, please be careful, the one night early on in the Flagyl treatment, ph did not finish his dinner, and was projectile vomiting about 3 hours after taking the Flagyl. We are almost done with the Diflucan, and Dr. Megson is having us test for the Clostridia once the Diflucan is done. She suggested not letting up once off the Diflucan, I told her I was uncomfortable with staying with such a strong med. and was hoping to go back to the GSE if yeast was still an issue. She agreed to that plan, but wants no break in between treatments. If the Flagyl didn't wipe out the clostridia, we're going to try the collidal? sorry if I misspelled, silver. I'll let you guys know. I'm hoping the yeast is in check. The only concern is that ph has been deprived in the food area of most sugars (sucrose, starches) , and most fruits. He's had only water to drink and pears are the only fruit he's had this past month. I gave him a small bit of maple syrup the other day on a waffle, instead of peanut butter, and noticed some lethargy. So I think that yeast is hanging on for all it's worth. spam: and others--flagyl and diflucan and enzymes > Hi, > > I've been reading about flagyl mostly and the list of possible side > effects are pretty scary. Guest guest
As a parent, after you do the research, after you consult various " experts? " ( really just individuals with degrees who've seen several hundred children like ours) and after you read all the material available to parents ( not much), you evaluate your own child's disposition to meds. treatment, long range disability and " real time " turnaround, you make your choice. For myself, difficult decision, but then everything up to this point has been. Don't wonder, just pray if you please. We're all doing the best we can. I'm giving the Flagyl and Diflucan a shot, but luckily I'm partnered with a Doctor who understands this is a one shot deal, and we'll try the collidal silver for the clostridia and further GSE for the yeast if either are still an issue. spam: Re: and others--flagyl and diflucan and enzymes > > I have to ask: > WHAT are you using these very potent and toxic pharmaceuticals for, I > wonder?!? > > I've been reading about flagyl mostly and the list of possible side > effects are pretty scary. Guest guest
, Thanks so much for your reply. This info is very helpful. I have decided to hold off on the flagyl and diflucan and try other options for at least four more weeks. We are doing ojibwa tea and then I'll try some different probiotics to see if I can find one she'll tolerate. We're doing better on our second try with the tea--she flipped a little a month when we tried (I went a little to fast because she was responding so well to it). I'm still at one teaspoon in the am and she's doing ok. I can't remember ph's metal situation. Lucy is high in amalgam metals (thanks to me...) and I worry about trying colloidal silver for this reason. Thanks again for your replies. > We did not dose the enzymes at the same time as the med. for that purpose. > The timing was coincidental.
