Guest guest
I was was wondering if anyone would help me find a probiotic now that I have the results back from the CDSA 2.0 (feces test). My 4 yr old has numerous issues per the test but this test is VERY difficult to understand. Thank goodness we have an appt. with Dr. Franz in Aug. Maybe if we start with a probiotic that is suited for him that would help until then. It shows he has no growth for Lactobacillus species It shows he has a 4+ Escherichia coli It shows he has a 3+ Bifidobacterium He has additional bad bacteria which I will have to consult with the doctor about and he has yeast too. I would appreciate any help with any of this. Diane
Guest guest
Diane, Does his stools or body smell really bad? What type of diet is he on, if any? Different probiotics help with different issues. There are lots of acidophilus supplements at health food stores. Culturelle is great on colon bacteria problems (www.vrp.com or vitacost.com). Theralac is getting good reviews www.theralac.com. You might also ask your pharmacist if they have one they like (our region carries Florajen which is good mix, but it isn't everywhere). .
