Vicky,

Those are probiotics. I think was asking about enzyme supplements. In

fact, many enzymes NEED HCl in order to function properly. More people

lack sufficient HCL than realize it and their enzyme function is

severely compromised. Add this to the fact that antacids are way

overused and you get undigested proteins which contribuite to leaky gut

and yeast overgrowth. Those who have resistant yeast often greatly

benefit from HCl supplementation. I take it before each meals and it

has greatly enhanced the effectiveness of the enzymes I take.

Hydrochloric acid. This is the acid found in the stomach, which keeps

the pH around 2 or 3 in the stomach. Much higher than that and you

lose the barrier to bacteria and protozoans, opening the door to

chronic imbalances in flora and loss of optimal enzyme function.

There are several indicators. See my previous post to Sharon K. It

comes in capsules of various strengths.

Well, plain betaine is TMG, but I do mean Betaine HCL which is

hydrochloric acid. I take a formula with pepsin added as well.
