Guest guest
Vicki, I can answer your question about the methotrexate being your last resort with my own personal experience. After being allergic to Azulfidine, and the Plaquenil, I went on to Methotrexate. We started out with pills, but shortly I was on a shot of 25 mg. IM once a week, over the years that crept up to 50 mg. Im once a week. Towards the end we added in Neoral (Cyclosporin) to see if that would help keep me going and it did. Eventually we dropped the Metho all together due to toxicity and its inability to hold me in a good remission and put the dose of the Neoral up. When that stopped working we tried Imuran and I got a good year or more out of that. Then I tried Enbrel for over a month. I was one of the lucky ones for whom it did work pretty quickly. However, the accompanying weight gain and ravenous appetite for carbs made me gain 20 lbs in a short time. Next we tried Arava, which I am still using, although it does not seem to hold me very long. Now I am considering antibiotics for my chronic neuro Lyme disease, on top of the Arava to see if the combo will help me out, since I am kind of desperate. So you can see --you are just at the beginning of all these options -- and thank goodness it can take years to exhaust all your options. Good Luck to you all and keep on trying! Guest guest
i serach back some posts on your name and he is 7 and taking enzymes what brand of enzymes? that amount of selenium should not have upset him so most likely its the cellulose filler i think the reaction has told you something real important he has chronic intestinal yeast and a true fermenting biofilm in the gut which is very bad. you can't be doing the enzymes right and will also most likely need some scd exclusions like grains and potatoes. you really need to understand the science behind scd http://www.pecanbread.com/scdscience.html only about 60% of scd is right so i am not suggesting you do it by the book. but that 60% is important you also need urgently to undertstand how to gte the right sun for skin vitamin d 'skin vitamin d' in the index ofhttp://tinyurl.com/2csa3 if you post roughly where you live i can look up the sun angles for you most likely you have some of these issues yourselfl
