I am very interested in starting Peptizyde and Zyme-Prime with my 4

year old son sometime soon, and I read somewhere that the enzymes

shouldn't be mixed with fluoride. My son still swallows his

toothpaste when he brushes, so he does get some fluoride from this

source. Are there any suggestions as to non-fluoride toothpastes

that I could use? He is also on the gf/cf diet and reacts to gluten,

so I can't use a toothpaste with flavors that could contain gluten.

We use Herbal Creme de Peppermint Natural Toothpaste by Nature's Gate. We

buy it at our local health food stores. Despite the dire warnings from my

pediatric dentist about the necessity of fluoride to prevent cavities, ( we

avoid fluoride in hygiene and water products) my son is turning 6 this Aug.

and he has the prettiest teeth ever. In fact, the discoloration (white

spots) on his teeth that he had at age 2, disappeared once we began using

this Nature's Gate toothpaste. My son has not yet had a cavity.

Hi,

We use Tom's of maine toothpaste and this has a " flouride-free "

version too. You can get it in HFS or even in Safeway stores.

We also use Tom's. I just found a liquid version of the flouride-

free Toms. The kids prefer the taste of Tom's to things like Crest,

etc.

My son with Autism is a closet toothpaste eater. This is how I

sleep at night without worrying about flouride toxicity. We live in

a city that does not fluorinate our water, so I basically avoid

fluoride without much problem. I have a supplement from our doctor

that I have used a handful of times (normally when my dh thinks

about giving it... he is an advocate).
