Guest guest
My son has soft BM's, he has sensory problems (touches people too much and toe walks)and has dark circles under his eyes. From what I've read it sounds like some of these problems could be due to yeast. Does that sound right? I spoke to his Pediatrician about this, he looked at me like I had three heads. I went to the healthfood store and saw GSE in tablets and drops. I've never read anything about anyone using tablets, are they as effective as the drops? Do you use the GSE in conjunction with the No-Fenol? Right now my son is not using any enzymes, if I were to start No-Fenol would I use Peptizyde with it? I saw that when treating for yeast you take No-Fenol inbetween meals, would I take Peptizyde at the same time as the No-Fenol, or with a meal? I also read that if you use GSE on a child that doesn't really have trouble with yeast it could cause problems to get worse. Is this true? Thanks for all your help. Yeah, mine too - she said if there were systemic yeast you wouldn't be able to walk... >I went to the healthfood store and saw GSE in tablets and drops. I don't know anything about the tablets. The drops taste awful at first, start at the lowest dose and work up. I found once I got used to them I didn't taste it anymore, I don't know if this is common... >I also read that if you use GSE on a child that doesn't really have >trouble with yeast it could cause problems to get worse. Is this >true? Yes, Dana's page explains it all I believe (I'm sure she'll post a response) but if there is no yeast and you use GSE I believe it will encourage bacterial growth... I haven't quite internalized how you figure this all out yet :-) near LAX

Yeast is one of the reasons for these symptoms. http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm >>I spoke to his Pediatrician about > this, he looked at me like I had three heads. Only three? > I went to the healthfood store and saw GSE in tablets and drops. > I've never read anything about anyone using tablets, are they as > effective as the drops? The tablets say " comparable to 12-15 drops of liquid " . However, in my personal experience, they are probably comparable to 6-8 drops. However, they sure don't taste as bad. If I have a MAJOR yeast issue [meaning that my head is about to *explode* because it is in major pain because I have yeast in my head, which happens with viral die off, same as my son, and I had major issues with this when I had the flu last week], I REQUIRE the liquid drops, the tablets just don't touch it. I probably drank 1/4 of the larger bottle of GSE in just 2-1/2 days. [And then I did not stop in time, causing a major UTI which required lots of cranberry juice to fix, but at least I knew what had happened!] >>Do you use the GSE in conjunction with the > No-Fenol? Yep >>Right now my son is not using any enzymes, if I were to > start No-Fenol would I use Peptizyde with it? Not unless you need to or want to. >>I saw that when > treating for yeast you take No-Fenol inbetween meals, It works any time, just more effective if there is not any food there to also work on. >>would I take > Peptizyde at the same time as the No-Fenol, or with a meal? Depends on why you are taking the Peptizyde. As an anti-viral, or to address food issues. > I also read that if you use GSE on a child that doesn't really have > trouble with yeast it could cause problems to get worse. Is this > true? Yep, can cause bacteria, see above. See also my previous reply about Culturelle. Good luck. Dana
