Guest guest
Yay ! I'm so glad you have your daughter back. I know exactly how it feels to watch that regression when you stop the enyzmes. We only made it through breakfast without Houston's. By lunch we were back on them, and same as you, within hours he was " back. " Glad you discovered another layer of your daughter's enzymes needs, too. That's a nice bonus! > > > Thought you may want an update but I'm not sure anyone trusts me to > post an intelligent post but here goes...... > > After receiving the e-mails from and Devin I went on another > search looking for answers. Guest guest
I think what we are saying here, though, is you could do the test while keeping your child on enzymes. But if you've decided the test simply isn't necessary, that's your choice. I wasn't trying to talk you out of testing, only trying to get clarification on what was going on. A pediatrician was able to point out inaccuracies to me on some testing I had done and I had this confirmed from other sources. It may pay to check on any testing or part of testing (or product, for that matter) as to whether it actually has any established value. You can ask for the research, who did the research, and whether they have any affiliations with the product, test, company, etc., and if this research has been duplicated by independent sources. My doctor has been helpful in explaining the " why " of her position on things. For example, she gave me a refresher course on " P value " in studies, how large a clinical study should be before she would put any stock into it, etc., which has been helpful. It's frustrating to spend hundreds of dollars to find out things aren't always exactly as they are represented to be. > > > Thought you may want an update but I'm not sure anyone trusts me to > post an intelligent post but here goes...... > > After receiving the e-mails from and Devin I went on another > search looking for answers. Guest guest
Hi , I didn't take offense at all. MOF, I appreciate the concern and interest from others on this board. My current position is that I wasn't sure whether to test right now because I have decided to change drs. and go another route altogether (MT-promotor vs. chelation). This just forced the issue with me-thus my frustration in trying to determine the best course of action. I may have a slight edge also because of severe sleep deprivation! Asking good questions is never offensive! LOL,
Guest guest
This past June my son had an x-ray of his abdomen and it showed a large amount of stool. This was a concern, especially since he had diarrhea the day before and hadn't eaten much. We had to have a breath test (with lactulose, not lactose) for bacterial overgrowth and sure enough, he had a real big jump at the 45-minute mark (the test is several hours long). Anyway, this is how we found out we were dealing with a bacteria problem and not a yeast problem (as far as we know). Lori Getz
Guest guest
Hi sharon, Thanks for the info. I will be testing next month when we see our new Dan dr. I appreciate your sharing your experiences. I believe these enzymes are an answer to our prayers in many ways. I don't want to be without them unless absolutely necessary!
