I am also a bit confused about the different types of enzymes--I have

started my son on Kirkman's Enzyme Complete with DPP-IV, because it

seems to contain all of the enzymes that are in both Peptizyde and

Zyme Prime.

It targets gluten, casein, and soy specifically. It did help my kids

with certain other proteins, but Zyme Prime also contains enzymes for

proteins, so it is likely that Zyme Prime will be sufficient for the

proteins your child eats.

But you can give Peptizyde also, if you want.

You are probably not overdosing him, but you might not need to spend

the money.

If the Peptizyde is working for him to digest the proteins, then you

don't really need to change it.

Enzyme Complete is *relatively comparable* to Zyme Prime. You would

have to give a LOT of it for it to be comparable to Peptizyde, but I

suppose it could also be considered comparable to Peptizyde at high doses.

Some kids don't tolerate papain/bromelain, and Kirkman Complete

contains at least one of those [maybe both? I have not read the

ingredients lately], so watch for that potential issue.

Yes. It sounds to me like he was eliminating a large impaction, which

is not fun and causes pain, but at least it is out.

No-Fenol can help with this problem for a few reasons, primarily that

he was not tolerating the foods and they were causing constipation, or

he has yeast, which can also cause constipation.

Good luck.
