Guest guest
I'd like to give my son charcoal to help the die-off reaction he's got going, but don't know how to go about getting it down him. He doesn't swallow pills and I imagine the contents of the capsules would taste like you're licking a charcoal brick, not to mention the thought of turning your mouth black. Any of you charcoal users out there have any suggestions!? Is it possible to hide this stuff in something? Thanks bunches!! Kris
Guest guest
We've never used it, but I've read about mixing it in cranberry juice as the color hides the charcoal. I think if you mix it that way it's not supposed to be noticed? > I'd like to give my son charcoal to help the die-off reaction he's > got going, but don't know how to go about getting it down him. Guest guest
My son has always been so smart he can find something " hidden " a mile away. IF nothing works for your child, you might try what I did. It sounds harsh, but over time I think it was a good decision. My son would refuse to eat or drink anything with a supplement in it. If he ate something with a supplement in it, he would often throw it up. Finally, one night when he had eaten his brother's wheat pancakes, I tried " hiding " charcoal in juice. He didn't want it. I told him, " It is time for you to learn to take capsules. They will make you feel better. " I put a cap in his mouth, held him down, and made him drink juice to swallow it. It was horrible. But the next time it was easier. When he started taking actual supplements that made him feel better, he began taking them cheerfully. I think he knew they made him feel better (this started with the enzymes). I have heard of kids who refuse to eat at all because they don't want to be " tricked. " I wonder if this way is better...Now I call out, " , it's time to take your vities... " He comes and takes them all at once. I wish I could do that! Hope this helps...I know it's hard... , mom to and Re: Charcoal question . . . > We've never used it, but I've read about mixing it in cranberry juice > as the color hides the charcoal.
